Field House

Dusty shivers a bit and clings to Jen afraid to even move at that moment. She leans into Jen hard "I don't need to experience things Jen. I just want to be with you... Forever." She looks down at her dirty uniform and blushes but doesn't want to say anything. She just holds onto Jen tightly, replaying the words over and over again in her head.

Jen just holds onto Dusty not sure what to say to the sweet girl. "Okay my sweet." She tightens her hold on Dusty letting the sweet girl draw comfort from her.

Dusty lets out a soft sigh and pulls back a bit, finally calming down for the moment. Though another wave of grief might hit her any minute now. She looks at Jen and smiles "Thank you..." is all she can say though. She stands and looks down at her dirty clothes "I'm gonna get your furniture dirty Jen. Can we go buy me something to wear or something?"

Jen smiled at Dusty. "It will vaccum off and I think I have something you can wear until we can go shopping." Jen just held Dusty close to her. "I think we should stay here for a little while I don't think you want to fall apart in public."

Dusty nods and snuggles back up against Jen, who is no longer her coach, but something more. She lays her head on Jen's shoulder and tries to relax a bit. "I love you Jen... Thank you for everything..." her sentence trails off as she drifts off into an exhausted sleep.

Jen held Dusty close to her as Dusty drifted off to sleep in her arms. She held onto Dusty wanting Dusty to have a peaceful sleep. Jen knew in her heart that this was right Dusty was a lot more to her then just a student she was the person she would spend the rest of her life with. "I love you so my sweet."

Dusty sleeps peacefully, stirring now and again and saying things that are inaudible with the exception of Jen. That name is very clear as she starts to wake up. She stretches and remains leaning up against Jen as she awakens. She yawns and lifts her head from Jen's shoulder and looks around. The house is a bit dark and the sun is setting. "I fell asleep?"."

Jen drifted off to sleep herself most of her thoughts on Dusty and how things would work. Jen stired just before Dusty woke up. "We both did my sweet." Jen heard her phone ringing and went to answer it.

Dusty smiles at Jen and nods, wondering just how long she slept. She watches as Jen jumps up to get the phone. She stays plastered to her spot on the couch though, knowing that if it is her aunt that she can't talk to her. She sighs a bit and slumps.

"Ms. Hart I'm Dusty's Aunt Jamie. Can I talk to her please?"

Jen answered her. "She's sleeping at the moment. I'll have her call you back."

"I'm currently out of the country and very much unreachable most of the time. The only reason I'm aware of things is my voice mail."

Jen couldn't believe the nerve of that woman. "So your not coming back I take it?"

"I can't Dusty is 18 there for can be on her own."

Jen's loathing of Dusty's Aunt kept growing. "Dusty will be just fine. I'll see to it."

"Thank you I'll try to call back and talk to Dusty at my next convient moment."

Jen shook her head. "Don't bother." and she hung up the phone.

Dusty watches Jen curiously as she lies for her. She smiles a bit, very relieved to not have to talk to her hateful Aunt Jamie. She sits up a bit and listens closely though, wondering what is being said. She bites her lip as she hears Jen's reactions and knows for sure that her aunt is being as hateful as ever. She sighs "Aunt Jamie?"

Jen settled down on the coach with Dusty after she hung up the phone. "Yes. I haven't met her and yet I don't like her one little bit. She isn't coming home or anything oh and I told her not to bother calling again."

Jen wrapped her arms around her sweet love.

Dusty presses herself up against Jen tightly and nods as she listens to her speaking of her aunt. "I hope she doesn't call back. I hate the women. She hates me too. Told my parents I was a dyke last year and that they should send me to an all girls boarding school." She giggles "Like that would help any? I'd get into too much trouble." Dusty smiles as you wrap your arms around her.

Jen holds Dusty close to her. "I don't think you need to worry about that I told her not to bother calling back. I think you'd get in trouble in an all girls school." Jen giggled. "Besides you aren't a dyke you are a lesbian there is a difference."

Dusty giggles as she thinks of her at an all girls school. "Thanks for taking up for me Jen. I hate that women.. She is... a witch." She leans forward and kisses Jen's cheek softly "I know there is a difference but she sure doesn't." She thinks a moment "Is there anything you need help with tonight?"

Jen kissed Dusty softly. "She won't bother us besides your 18 and can live where you choose preferibly right here with me."

Jen smiled at Dusty. "So we should think about dinner I guess and probably change clothes."

Dusty grins "I'll stay here as long as you want me"
She stands and offers Jen a hand to help her up "Yes, that sounds good."

Jen took Dusty's hand up. "Thank you my sweet."

Jen thought about what Dusty said. "What about college though I'm sure you have a soccer scholarship?"

Jen waited for Dusty's response and knew that as much as she loved this young woman holding her back was not an option.

Dusty smiles and helps Jen up.

Her face darkens as Jen mentions the scholarship. "I... I got a full scholarship to the only school I applied to but they have no coach for the upcoming season. If they don't find one by May then I lose my scholarship. It's too late to apply anywhere else." She sighs as she watches Jen.

Jen looked at Dusty. "I wonder if I could get that job my sweet."

She pondered what qualifications would be needed for a coaching job at the college soccer wasn't exactly her forte but she has coached young kids and the team know to victories she may have been the assitant coach yet she ran the show.

Dusty smiles and opens her backpack. She hands you an application that she printed off the internet. "I called the athletic director and told him about you. He's impressed and he hates the head coach. He's watched you when he was scouting me and noticed how good you are with the team. He said to have you fill this out and it would be a guaranteed job." She bites her lip hoping you are not mad at her.

Jen gasped. "Oh my gosh. You did that for me before this happened. I never really thought about just coaching my dream was to teach yet I like coaching better. Plus I know I don't have the qualifications to teach college level."

"So all I need do is fill this out and send it in and I have a job wow I wonder what the althletic director would think if he knew we were together?"

Dusty smiles "He knows your qualifications and is willing to make the board bend a bit. He believes we're going to nationals and knows that the university would eat that up. He thinks your well qualified, and that your so good that nothing matters.

Dusty grins a bit sheepishly "He won't say a word Jen because when I was walking home after a game when my parents were out of town I saw him getting out of his truck and heading into the gay bar. He noticed me and blushed then ran over and asked me not to tell. He asked me if I was gay and I said yes. Then he proceeded to tell me that he watched me and wanted me for the university and anyone else I could recommend. So I told him about you. I sorta had the upper hand.. But that doesn't mater."

Jen smiled. "So he thinks the board will bend and I could teach as well as coach?"

Jen giggled. "He didn't seem shocked when you told him?"

Dusty giggles "Yes... He has been there for a long time. He has some say there. He thinks it would be great to have some gay students at the school. Hey.. I'm 18 so nothing really matters anyways.... With your MA in History you can teach that. Since it's a big school they offer at least 12 sections of it per semester. You'll have no worries there. They are needing more History professors."

Dusty blushes "No... He wasn't... He knew... You know... Gaydar"
