Evolution's Children (RP)

"Goodmorning Kurt..." Storm greeted with a chuckle as she batted at the floating eggs. They fell into the fryer and she quickly whipped up the first batch of eggs. Setting them on various plates awaiting usage.

She watched as another batch of eggs floated her way and couldn't understand the mirth in such a simple act. They kept dancing around her, "You put those eggs in the pan now or I'll put them in your face Stephen." She smiled noting the addition to the kitchen cook-out and smiled nodding her head. "Hello."

Jake got out of his seat and headed for the door. "I'm getting kind of colstraphobic. I hope no one cares if I take a walk." He snuck out of the room and took off after that Rogue girl. He stopped and looked at every open door he passed trying to find her. "Rogue?" He called casually.

"Ah Mr. Wagner. A pleasant morning to you." He said smirking dipping another bow, it seemed he'd have to greet everyone this morning. That was fine, it was always good to see friendly faces to begin a day. "Mr. Stryder, I heard of your arrival, how are you enjoying your time here at Xavier's school?"

He laughed at Storm's threat. "Now Ms. Munroe, calm yourself I'm just having a bit of fun." He chuckled and gestured with his hand, all the eggs twirling up into the air and smashing into each other, cracking and breaking, forming one giant eggy lump. With another gesture of his hand the shells seperated themselves out from the mass as the rest of the eggs flew into the skillet, the shells falling into the sink.

Storm chuckled as the eggs were released from captivity and made to fry in the pan. She gave them a good scooping and twirling before they were cooked to perfection. Setting them on another plate she began the bacon which didn't take long at all, as toast was broiling in the toaster under the stove. Soon an abundance of food was set out for everyone to enjoy.

She herself brought some fruit from the fridge, endulging in some strawberries, peaches and good old fashion whipped creame.

Jack grinned, then shrugged. "The pool's great, the girls are gorgeous. This place is better than any five-star hotel I've ever been in. And best of all, no one here is afraid of this." With that, he held up his hand, and a small sphere of concentrated ionized plasma formed.

Nightcrawler cracked his 3 fingered hands, rolling his neck slightly to work the kinks out before moving quickly into the kitchen. His prehensile tail snaked out, looping around a skillet and moving it deftly into his hands as he prepared to help Ororo make breakfast.

"Has Logan eaten all the sausage again?" He asked as his eyes scanned the counter tops and the refridgerator. The floating eggs barely caught his notice. Dr. Strange was a welcome guest at the mansion, and was a close friend of the Professor and some of the students.

"Herr Doctor. It's always a pleasure to have you with us"

Kurt remembered well how uncomfortable he'd been around the Sorcerer Supreme when he'd first met the man. As a mystic, Strange's powers seemed like witchcraft to Kurt, making Strange an ally of the Devil himself. But he had learned better. After all, Kurt knew better then any student at Xavier's what it meant to be judged as a demon. God loved all His children, and Strange was a good and honorable man who had protected the world many times over.

Judge not, lest ye be judged, as the Book said.

Besides, the matter at hand was breakfast. One couldn't properly begin a day without coffee, two or three kinds of sasuage, bacon, eggs, the whole lot.

His attention was caught however on the new arrival. A new student?

"Vhere are my manners" Kurt chuckled to himself as he approached the newcomer.

"Welcome friend. My name iz Kurt Wagner. But in ze Munich circus I vas known as ze Incredible Nightcrawler" A tired line to be sure, but what a ring it had!

Strange poured himself a cup of water and with a wave of his hand brought it to a boil, getting a teabag from the cupboard next to him. He dipped it in, listening to Jack's description of the place. "Ahhh to be so young again." He said smiling, which quickly turned to a frown as he thought about his own Clea. He missed her, but she had choosen a different path for her life. He sighed and took a seat next to Storm, bobbing the bag up and down in his mug, reaching for a plate he scooped himself some breakfast, taking a bite of the eggs. "These are delicious Ms. Munroe."

"Uhn?" Rogue glanced up as she started up the stairs, leaning against the railing as she heard someone calling out to her. The guy from the yard... "Well, hi there. I was just hopin' to make sure ya were alright... That was some nasty fall ya took." She smiled. "I've taken a few of 'em m'self, but... mine ain't been from a fallen plane."

Jake smiled as he saw her. She was posed like a model, with one foot on the stairs and a hand on the railing. He walked over to her and smiled. "I'm Jake, you must be the lovely Rogue." He said he let his finger trace over her arm. "Strange was just telling me about you." He told her.

Rogue glanced hesitantly to his finger on her arm, sliding it back up the railing a bit. She didn't mean to seem antisocial, but she had chanced it enough earlier with Zero. She didn't want to gamble any more today.
"I'm Rogue, alright. That other stuff... well, now yer just flatterin'." She did have a slight blush to her cheeks. "Tellin' ya 'bout me? Then.. he must'a told ya 'bout m' powers." She looked to his hand again. "Ya should be... careful 'round me. I don't want t' be hurtin' ya."

"Thank you Stephen..." she said taking another bite of her strawberries. She had a plate of eggs and bacon, and a bit of coffee to help ease things down. "Be careful, if Logan heard you making fun of him like that Kurt..." she smiled not putting it past the lumberjack candian to have eaten every bit of meat in the house.

"Jack is it? Nice show of effects, may I ask what brings you to Xavier's mansion?" Storm inquired past Strange who was in the line of sight.

Jack smiled, then held out his hand, watching as energy crackled along it. The plasma glowed brightly, the color a bright purple, with green streaks. He enjoyed seeing the plasma, as it reminded him of a kaleidoscope. When the woman called Storm asked him a question, he looked up, and smiled, the plasma vanishing. "Well, I figure if there's any place I can uncover the extend of my powers, it would be here. I already know I can generate plasma, and control it. I can also control the electrical energy flow, including that of the human body. I don't know how well I can do that though. It's easy with my own, but...." His voice trailed off, leaving it at that.

Jake shook his head. "I just feel from the sky over 35,000 feet. If you can't guess I'm invulnerable then you my dear need help." He smiled at her. "You can't hurt me." He said. Clamping his hand on her bare arm. Instantly he felt a tingling rush through him, but it never got worst than that. Only a tingle, and he didn't feel bad.

Strange stood, having finished his breakfast. "Please excuse me, I must make my exit. I have lesson plans to repare for today's classes.. and dimensions to monitor for demonic invasion." He aid off-handedly as he used his magic to wash his plate, placing it in the dish washer.

Storm took her time eating letting the banter between mutants fly over head. Everyone seemed set on their food and current events. When she finished her breakfast she rinsed her dish and set it in the washer before making her exit, deciding a morning fly alone in the clouds was needed. The explosion to Jake's plane sounded a bit too suspicious not to investigate as she left the kitchen and headed for the doors. Once outside she gathered the wind about her using the current to lift her in the air where she took flight, an ebony goddess in the making.

Kurt munched away at his plate of eggs and sasuage. The other X-men were away on various missions or recruitment drives, and the mansion was suprisingly empty. It was a good day to appreciate the sights. Sights like Storm rising through the air, with the winds wrapping around and holding her aloft in the sky.

Ahhh yes, it was a good time to take in the beauty of life.

Nightcrawler's tail coiled around behind him, deposting his plate in the sink with ease as he moved back outside. He'd promised Wolverine to work out with him in the Danger Room at some point today but other then that he had a full day to himself.

The sun shone down brightly on his velvet blue fur. Normally, Kurt prefered the shadows, but such a day like this was nothing short of a gift from God.

Strange had the same idea as Storm on his way back to his chambers. Perhaps this business of a plane crash, especially one that landed a mutant at Xavier's school, was no coincidence. He was the Sorceror Supreme, and if there was any mystical cause behind this plane crash than he should be the one to determine what happened. He doubted that was likely, as the type of foes he engaged in combat with often had grander evil plans than blowing up a plane. Still it would give him an excuse to put aside the mundane task of studying his Orb of Agamotto for movement in the dimensions surrounding earth, and he could get out and really enjoy the nice weather. His mind made up he took to the sky, allowing his Cloak of Levitation to take him high into the sky, scanning the ground for the remains of a crash.

As Storm investigated the general area of the plane's explosion she saw nothing out of the ordinary. The wind was at a normality for such a clear day, no updrafts, down pulls nothing that would cause a plane to loose control. And she knew lightening didn't hit it so what gives? Just as the thought crossed her mind a strange flash of magenta crossed her path moving at speeds even Storm couldn't phanatom. "By the Goddess!"

====

Well that was easy as a young magenta colored girl screamed in passing of the white haired woman. She may be able to teleport but from this high up at this momentum there's no telling what she'd port herself into.

It was an accident, she had been sent to this time on a mission and to her dismay she teleported herself right in the line of a plane which blew up instantly. Her powers blinking a slice of the plane clear away before the rest of it simply desentagrated. The lives... tears were in her eyes as she realized perhaps her sudden free fall was payment for such a stupid calculation.

Strange saw Storm ahead flying in the breeze and smiled, angling himself towards her. They had had the same thought about the plane apparently, it would be good to have two sets of eyes and minds to determine the fate of the plane. He frowned as Storm reeled backwards, sensing the presence of another before he saw the flash of magenta plummeting to the ground.
"By the Hoary Hosts of Horgathh!" He yelled in surprise as he gestured his hand mystically, casting a spell of binding on the flash. It came to a halt and Strange was surprised to see a young girl with magenta skin caught in his binding, hovering in the air, tears in her eyes. Strange gestured for Storm to follow him, floating down towards the girl. "Are you harmed madame?" He asked as he approached her.

Blink shot a glance at Strange, her eyes filled with tears as she realized her life had been saved. That didn't stop the tears, "Those people...I..." she choked up then burying her face in her hands as she cried out. "I didn't mean..." she tried to explain but there just were no words.

Storm managed to collect herself long enough to follow Strange as she floated behind him. That's two young ones with tears in their eyes today. "Please calm down...is there anything you can tell us? What happened?" she inquried in kind.

Blink sniffed looking to the kind woman and the man before her. "I miscalculated, and teleported a slice of that plane, it blew up...were there any survivors...did they..."

Strange frowned as the girl cried her tears, skimming her mind he saw the incident through her eyes, frowning slightly. She had come from.. a different time? He frowned. "Blink... I'm sorry, that is your name correct?" He asked, staring at her. "This girl has come from.. a different dimension.. one I have glimpsed several times before." He said turning to Storm. "I will invade your mind no one youngling, but I would know what brings someone from the world of Apocalypse to this dimension." He released the bonds he had around her, but summoned an invisible platform for her to stand upon as they hovered in the air.

Blink slowed her tears upon her name being spoken."Yes I am Blink...I was brought here to correct a fraction in time." she said, her mission was not to be spoken of but what if he decided to probe her mind. "Please it is for now to kept a secret. I'm not here to harm anyone..and in fact I must speak with the Professor...is there a Logan present?" she asked softly.

Strange frowned at her obvious nervousness over discussing her mission. He ventured back into her mind again, just to ensure that her claim that no one was to be harmed was true. She seemed sincere enough and Strange informed Storm of that fact before turning back to stare at Blink. "Yes, Logan is a resident of Xavier's institute."

"I have to talk to him, it's quite urgent." she said though didn't give any information outside of that.

Storm smiled to the girl summoning a small gust of wind that swept the girl on a gentle current. "Do not worry, we will help you however we can." she said calmly as they all floated back down to safety.

Strange lingered behind, studying the area where Storm had been, frowning at the feeling around the place. The presence of the disturbance in time and space was obvious enough, necessary for travel between the dimensions, no it was the familiarity of the disturbance that had Strange perplexed. He had seen something similiar to this before, but for the love of him he could not place it. He sighed, deciding to look into it more later. For now he caught up to Storm and their new friend, landing next to them back inside the Xavier school.
