Evolution's Children (RP)

Rogue nodded, then headed up to her room. Zero was... nice. A bit odd to her, especially with those little slips he kept giving. The suggestion he had given her was something that lingered in her mind; but she was really unsure about being under the influence of someone else's powers. It was frustrating enough to be paranoid of her own all the time. With a sigh, she stripped down and got into the shower.

He'd already been up for a few hours when the sun started to come up. Something in him always got him up this early. The garage was dimly lit, he had a portable light shining on his current project...fixing his motorcycle. The damned thing got wrecked in their last little adventure. Have the Juggernaut toss it a few miles put a damper on that mission real quick. Made things worse was the fact that Logan was on the thing when he hurled it into another town.

*sniff sniff*

He pulled himself out from under the bike and looked across the way to see Rogue n' some new guy walking up to the Mansion. With a bit of a snort he moved back under the bike and mumbled something about kids and newcomers.

He'd be there for another few hours before his class started. Logan taught self defense and for the advanced students close combat techniques.

Jack dug around in his bag, finally coming out with his trunks and a big fluffy beach towel. He closed the door, and quickly changed into the outfit, slinging the towel over his shoulder. He walked out the door, then headed back downstairs. He finally headed out to the pool, and sat down on a chair, putting the towel down under him.

Jean

Jean took Jacks hand and smiled. "Nice to meet you Jack, welcome to the Mansion. I'm Jean Grey, also known as Phoenix." She did a small probe to just make sure of his intentions, just to make sure he wasn't a threat to them. She wasn't in deep, just far enough to get his intentions wtih the X-Men, at least she tried to.

Turning off the water, Rogue stepped back out from the shower and dried off, then went back out to get her clothing. Remembering Zero's comment on being at the pool made her pause, smirking. "Ain't a half bad idea."

She took out her green bikini, slipping into it and picking up a spare towel. Throwing on a pair of cutoffs and slipping her communicator in her pocket, she headed down to the pool, seeing him already reclining on one of the chairs.

"Now what good is there in goin' to the pool if ya ain't gonna get wet?," She called, floating up from the pathway as she came up behind him and taking the shorts back off. She threw them onto the seat next to him before using her new altitude to dive into the pool, doing her best to give him a good splash.

Zero blinked, as he was soaked in water. He shook his head, glad he had put the towel behind the chair. Then he got up, and dove into the water, swimming quickly towards her, remembering to control the flow of his energy as he tackled her, dragging her down to the bottom of the pool before swimming towards the surface. "How's that? Better for you?"

Rogue laughed as he dove into the pool, only for it to be replaced by a gasp as he grabbed onto her. "No, no, don't-!," she shrieked, terrified.
He pulled her under the water, where she immediately swam to the other side of the pool, gasping as she came up. He had said he could do it- but she hadn't actually thought he would. She hung off the edge of the pool for a moment, shaking.
"You brave shit...," She muttered, looking at him with frightened eyes. "Y' have any idea what you could'a done?!"
Still... he had touched her. Someone had actually touched her without hurting themselves in the process. It was taking a bit to register for her. Right now she was more scared than anything else.

Jack swam up to the side of the pool, slowly pulling himself up out of the water and sitting down. "You ok? You look a little disturbed."

"I.. I think I need a minute."
Rogue lifted herself from the pool, still dripping wet as she hovered above it, staring down into the water as she tried to regain her thinking. That brave fool had... touched her. He had held onto her. To have that happen...
"Y' scared the hell outta me," She said softly, still not looking up. "I ain't used'ta anyone tryin' to touch me like that. Been forever since I had someone's skin against mine... 'n' when you ain't had any contact in that long... Its frightenin' to finally have it."
She stepped onto the patio, biting her lip as she looked at him. "Zero..? this.. This might sound kinda.. silly, but..." She held out her hand to him, her fingers shaking. "Will y' hold m' hand? I just... I just wanna feel someone without bein' scared."

Jack raised an eyebrow, watching her, then smiled. He held out his hand to her, letting her take it, and keeping the back of his mind focused on witholding energy flow. "I'm surprised they haven't tried the nullifier technology on you."

"I'm... kinda paranoid a' that too."
Rogue eased her hand into his, a soft laugh coming from her as she did so. "Yer hand's pretty soft fer a guy. I.. I guess I've been figurin' everybody'd have rough hands like Logan. Guy's got what looks like sandpaper on his hands..."
Her fingertips moved against the back of his hand, still amazed to be touching him like that. "I wish I could do this all th' time..," She said softly, then looked at him. "Maybe.. with yer help... Hank might be able t' do somethin' to do that fer me...?"

Jack smiled, then nodded. He himself had seen technology that could completely suppress mutant powers. "They make these bracelets that should work. Of course, I doubt they've tried it with your particular power."

*SKNIT!*

The claws flew out of his hand before the oil rag he'd been holding hit the paved walkway.

"Hands off the girl bub."

Logan had been drawn away from the garage by his nose, something didnt smell right, especially so early in the mornin'. His cowboy boots clicked against the cement as he walked up to them, a toothpick hanging from his lip as he spoke again.

"I can smell the stinkin' pheromones pourin offa you from across campus."

He growled a bit as he eyed the newcomer. His white wifebeater was torn in a few places and had grease stains in others. The faded jeans he was wearin' weren't too new either. The knees were pretty much gone from 'em and there were bullet holes up one of the legs.

Logan pulled the boy away from Rogue with relative ease and huffed to himself as he spoke again.

"Now cool yer jets hotrod, all her powers need is a little thoughtlessness from you and it's over...and frankly I dont think you can handle that gal anyway."

He pointed to her with his thumb from behind while retracting his claws on the other hand.

"..and you."

He turned to face her, but as soon as her eyes met his he softened up a bit inside and his anger pretty much faded away.

"...you know better darlin'."

That all said and done he walked away and picked up the rag he dropped earlier and turned to face them again.

"Now you kids play nice."

And just like that he disappeared from view as he headed back to the garage.

Meanwhile, across the globe in the Savage Land...

Magneto as he is called by those that fear and respect him, stood, hands behind his back, looking out into the endless jungle he and Charles created to be the mutant utopia. It was nice and warm outside, the wind blew his silver hair back a bit.

He could hear the engines from the helicopter, most likely stolen, that was landing just outside his complex. He sighed and headed over to the helipad. Eric made it just in time to see the blue skinned Mystique closing the door to the copter.

"Ah my dear, I missed you."

He held out one hand to her as the blades from the copter finally slowed to a stop and his large red cape cascaded over his shoulders to cover his body.

"I take it you had no trouble in aquiring what I asked for?"

Rogue gave Logan a shocked stare as he shoved them apart, stammering to find her words as he gave her a look.
"Logan, it- it ain't that... Its just- He could touch me, an'.... I just..."
He was already headed back for the garage, the words he had given her causing her to frown. "Aw, hell." She dropped down onto one of the seats, sighing sa she rested her chin against her hand.
"I'm sorry, Zero..." She looked up at him, attempting to give him a smile, but it barely made it out as a weak smirk. "But... thank y' fer that. It was nice t' finally touch somebody- even if it was fer just a minute."

-------------

"Just a little... negotiating.. and he was more than happy to give me the disc." Mystique smiled, resting a hand against his chest as the other passed him the envelope.

"And I even got a complimentary gift." She guestured towards the chopper, smirking. "They were just so... generous, weren't they? The military brought it right to me. Such thoughtful men. Even let me play with them a bit."

Zero raised an eyebrow, marvelling at the man's strength. He shook his head, then shrugged. He stuck his tongue out at the man's retreating back, then turned to look at Rogue. "It's okay. He's probably thinking of my safety. But it gives me an idea. A scientist I know made some bracelets that suppress mutant powers. If we visited him, we might be able to use ourselves as test subjects for him. It would help you a lot, I'd say."

"..Suppress?"
Rogue stared down at her hands for a moment with that. "Y' mean... block 'em off entirely? I- I don't know 'bout that. I heard about that once b'fore, an' there was concern about not bein' able t' get yer powers back after ya took the thing off. I- I can't chance that. M' powers mean a lot t' me.. even if they do cause me troubles sometimes."

Jack grinned, then sat down on the seat he had started on. He stretched, and laid back down. "The real problem is that guy who just stepped between us. He was overprotective."

"That's Logan fer ya." Rogue gave him a weak smile. "He ain't exactly... sociable most a' the time. Be thankful he didn't give ya a different sort'a greetin' than that..."
She sighed, getting to her feet. "I gotta be headin' in, Zero. I gotta get ready fer the classes.. I promised t' help out. I ain't quite sure who they're gon' team me up with this time... But I know I can't be helpin' much in this." She guestured to her swimsuit, then picked up her things. "Feel free t' explore 'round... This place is huge, so we don't want ya t' be gettin' lost." She smiled, then started back to towards the mansion.

Jack smiled, then got out of the chair, grabbing his towel and drying off. "I'm going to need a shower. You probably are too." He grinned, imagining her in the shower. He'd have to see about sneaking away with her at some point. "Anyways, I'll manage."

The only thing Jake was aware of was the whistling of air zipping through his ears as he plummeted toward the Earth. He didn't know what was happening right away. Four minutes ago he was on a plane leaving Maine and flying home. The B-movie was started as the plane flew over upstate New York and just as Jake groaned at the damn Rob Schnieder movie there was a loud bang followed by emmence heat as fire ripped through the cabin. Jake was blinded by the fire for a moment and the next thing he knew he was falling toward Earth. Now he knew what happened, the plate had blown up with his mother and sister on board. All the passengers were dead, except Jake because Jake of course was cursed. He was a mutant, who's powers made him not only super strong but cometely Invulnerable. Nothing could hurt him, which sucked sometimes. As he saw the ground coming toward him he saw a pool and hoped he would be lucky enough to hit that, but he wouldn't and he was glad to be a mutant right then. When he hit the ground like a
meteor the grass and dirt flew away from him with his breath. He gasped as he came to rest not twenty feet from the pool wheezed to get the air out of his lungs. He might be invulnerable but he still felt that one.

(Sorry Dragonrazor I can't afford to let you get too far with my Rogue without giving you a little bit of a challenge. OOC bio coming in a second.)

"Yer a smart fella. I'm sure ya will." Rogue gave him a smirk, then headed to her room.
She sighed as she tossed her towel and shorts into the hamper by her door, shaking her head as she put her uniform back on. Thank god Wolverine had come over when he did... She had been so wrapped up in the idea of being able to touch someone, without hurting them that-
"Shit... I could'a really messed that boy up..," She muttered aloud, turning on her computer screen as she slipped her gloves back on. An email was waiting for her, from Charles. "Oh sure, y' ain't gonna open yer door, but you'll be emailin' me..."

Please assist Logan with his classes this afternoon. Your abilities and his own will do well to give the students a proper understanding of good defense strategies.

"More like bein' Wolvie's personal punchin' bag...," she mumbled, picking up her coat. Still, wasn't like she couldn't handle a few rounds with the guy. She could take a few good hits, and his healing made any possible accidents a mere scratch to him.

(OOC ok for some reason this stupid POS computer in vegas wont let me post on the OOC thread, hell if I know why and I'm sorry guys.

but briefly my char..... Jake Winters, Age 24, Powers: Super Strength and is invulnerable. Not very original but hey this is porn :p so sue me :p Hi from Vegas everyone. I snuck out to post here.)

OOC Looks like that poor canuck wont ever get his bike fixed.

The huge crash near the pool shook the garage, sending some items falling from the shelves, countertops, and workbenches. The bike tipped backward and Logan pulled himself out from under it before it crashed to the floor. With a bit of a mutter he pulled himself to his feet and looked around.

In another second Logan took off, claws out, to investigate the crash. Once he came over the hill and saw the crater he did a double take and looked up to see parts of the plane still falling. It didnt look like any of the big parts were going to hit the mansion or even close to it so that was a good thing.

Logan scrunched up his nose and ran over to the large crater. Some of the kids were looking out of their windows, some even coming outside. He yelled for them to stay back before he slid down the walls of the hole to the kid laying unscathed at the center. Smoke was rising off of him but he seemed to be fine, at least physically.

"Hey! Hey kid! You alright?!"

------------------------------------

"Oh that fool Kelly..."

Magneto stared at the computer screen, sitting quite comfortably in his large metal chair. In fact most of the complex was made of metal and for good reason too. He leaned back and crossed his arms over his chest as he looked over the diagram displaying on the screen. It was the blueprints for what appeared to be a large robot of some sort.

A Sentinel...mutant hunting robot.

He used his ability to push the chair away from his as he stood and walked across the complex to his "music room". As he entered, a few instruments lifted from their stands and began to play. He then stood infront of a large window looking out into the jungles of the Savage Land.

"I'll need to tell Charles..."

Rogue had just been heading down the steps to go ask Logan about the classes when she felt it. "What'n the HELL?!"
She bolted out the back door of the cafeteria, seeing the mess surrounding the pool. What had just happened? She caught sight of Logan, jumping into a massive hole on the otherside of the yard. "Did we just get hit by somethin'? Whose attackin' us this time?! ," she asked, following after him-
Then gasped as she saw what was in there. A guy.. and he was MOVING.
"Oh god.. Logan, careful, if he's got anythin' broken, he's just gon'-"
Still, he seemed to be moving just fine, aside from the hard breathing.

--------

Mystique stood in the doorway if the music room, watching him a moment, then stepped up behind him. "I peeked at your computer. What was that thing?"
Her frown grew as he mentioned Xavier. "Something bad, then, I take it." She ran her hand against his back, looking off through the window with a sigh. A casual meeting with the Xmen. She hated the sound of it.. She'd much rather be tearing into a fight with someone, getting the agression that had built up inside her out of her system. Of course, there were other ways she'd like to use- but that... seemed out of the question right now. "Should I ready the helicopter for you?," she asked.

(OH my I am sooo sorry for holding up the thread I didn't mean to do that.)

Jake stood slowly, being invulnerable didn't mean shit didn't hurt. His skin was stinging badly but since it wouldn't break he wasn't worried about it and he shook it off. He looked around and gasped as he spotted a short but tough looking guy with claws coming out of his hands.

And next to him, the most beautiful women he had ever seen. She was taller that the man but not by much, her long brown hair was tastefully streaked with a white line running through her beautiful mane. He shifted to adjust his pants and he raised his hand.

"I'm alright." He assured them. He pointed toward the sky. "Plane blew up..." Then it hit him about what just happened. He fell to the ground and cried. "OH GOD, MY SISTER! MY MOTHER! OH NO!" He screamed, he slammed his fists into the ground causing it to shake as he began to cry.
