I've had the opposite happen. I went to a dyke convention once and saw the straightest girl from my old high school there. I couldn't believe it.

Well, I only had one experience with a guy, many years ago (14 years ago) and we weren't caught, per se, but everybody knew there was something going on with this person and myself. He came on to me in front of a group of mutual friends, and we ended up leaving together. He gave me some of the best head I ever had, and I fucked his brains out. I am firmly ensconced in the queer community (I identify as a bi-queer woman, dyke-identified bi woman or Byke) & was with the same woman for almost 15 years followed by 1+ years of celebacy (during which my ex who still lives in the buidling also did start dating). I recently started dating again and decided that I was no longer going to deny the fullness of my bisexuality so have been seeing both men and women. Have now fallen in love with a man (although I have a close woman lover at the moment I am not in love with her nor she with me - she is very butch, also poly and bi).
My ex-SO stopped talking to me when she figured out I'd started dating again... At least half my apartment building (36 units) is also queer, primarily gay and lesbian, one trans woman (don't know her sexual orientation - I'm friendly but she is young and fairly shy so we've never become close), and no one else that I know of who identifies as bi. I was nervous about bringing men around but since falling in love have become more and more bold in just letting Colin kiss me good bye when he drops me off here, etc.
Just came back from a trip and Colin came to pick me up from the airport last night, dropped me off this morning. When he did, he parked right in front of the building and helped me bring my suitcase up, in front of both the lesbian who co-manages the apartment building with my ex and an older gay gentleman tenant. And I was a bit embarrassed, but decided to hell with it, and that I didn't care. Introduced Colin to both of them, neither of whom was quite sure of how to respond, LOL... I can hear the rumors flying now, especially as the older gentleman is something of a gossip!
