Currently attempting to take a nap while a cat scratches and yowls at my bedroom door and my dumb nephew-in-law leaves his absurdly gas-guzzling pickup running outside because he is apparently committed to destroying what’s left of the oxygen I breathe. The only restaurant within miles of here is a Subway, where there used to be a cool old diner. But I still go in every once in a while, out of force of habit and because I like the pretty girls who work there. Then I take my sandwich home and choke it down with sadness and regret. I think Subway is mostly in the business of depressing people with bad food.
