Error in Story Title, Now I'm Stuck

Like an idiot, I incompletely copied the chapter title into one of the chapters of my series Fighting Them There. So the title of Chapter 22 is just "Fighting Them There" and not "Fighting Them There Ch. 22"
I thought that was mildly annoying, and there does not seem to be anything I can do about it, but it is what it is. The problem now is that Chapter 23 was sent back with the suggestion to resubmit when the chapters are ordered correctly. But... I have no power to rename the 22nd chapter so it's correctly labeled in the sequence.

On my authors page, the 22nd chapter appears to be in the right place, even if it is named incorrectly:

The block on chapter 23 says:
  • Please hit SUBMIT at the bottom of this form when previous chapters are resubmitted to keep series in order.

So am I just stuck?

Well, I followed those instructions and three days later both the title change request and the following chapter are still sitting in the drafts with no movement or listed publication date. I also reported my own incorrectly titled work in the hopes that would get it noticed and I haven't gotten any response on that end either.

It kind of looks like my series can't go forward here, which is a shame.

Edits take a lot longer to process than new submissions - you just need to be patient.

Wat you could do is try submitting your next chapter with a Note to Admin explaining what has happening and referencing the edit that has been made and is being waited on

The next chapter is already submitted, and has been for days. It was sent back with the note to resubmit after I resubmitted the misnamed chapter. I've done that, and three days have passed with no movement on either.

Edits take a long time. To be specific, my own last edit took five weeks. New stories take priority over almost everything else, it seems.

I agree that a pure title change should be easy and fast, but right now they just aren't.

This. If it's already in the queue, go ahead and edit it to make that note in the moderator notes section. It's likely that will get the new chapter up in a relatively normal course of time, and might even help the title change jump the queue, since it's a simple edit.

Any time you're making a simple edit on the title or tags, ALWAYS put that in the notes section, and if there's enough room, as part of the note in the title such as *TITLE EDIT*. That marks it as something Laurel can process in seconds, and will probably help jump the queue — at least a little. It's category changes and story text changes ( the majority of edits ) that require review time basically equal to the normal approval process, so they get shuffled down to the bottom of the priority list.

Update: it's been more than a week. No movement. No replies. Chapter 23 is just waiting for the mods to do a different thing that they apparently have no intention of ever doing.
