Endless Ends

Now, I lay awake nights and writhe thinking there might be a saved copy of that abomination floating around out there somewhere.

:headdesk:

Just sayin' that if someone did happen to have a copy of said photo, I would think that they'd take care of it and wouldn't just let it just float around ;)

Hey! Long time no see stranger!
You too JSG!
Congrats on your 60+ miles holy smokes!

I…don’t know whether to be more relieved or horrified by this post.

Relieved seems the better choice. :p

Well, hello there, Missy.

I see you have some rather exciting travel on the agenda.

Yeah she does :) She doesn't even know the places I'm taking her to see this visit. She was already blown away by exploring a tiny section of the Rocky Mountains. Let's see what I can do this time :D

Oh, man. On the dirty hair thing. Based on some PM input. (Which I think was meant to be reassuring. :p)

I am a blond.

Not a brunette.

Dark blond, but…blond.

Dirty hair. My ONE body shot contribution to the interwebs.

*dies*

Awwww. That you’re surprising her with destination points is just too adorable! What a wonderful time. :rose:

Cemeteries always seem to have squelchy spots.

No particular relevance. Just an observation I wanted to get out there on the table.

(Oh, man. Sunny’s right. I do prattle on.)

Anyhoo. I’ve been spending time in cemeteries lately for a couple of reasons I won’t go into at the moment. (I hear a collective sigh of relief. :D)

My companions for this little enterprise vary (I’m too needy and helpless to go alone. :p) This particular person was a first-timer and a leetle doubtful about the outing, but he was in from out of town and thus, to a certain extent, at my mercy.

Yesterday, at the very end of the excursion, we stumbled across -

Gene Tierney’s grave.

GENE TIERNEY

*thunk*

One of my favorite all time actresses! She starred in Laura and The Ghost and Mrs. Muir, to name just a few. Agatha Christie’s The Mirror Cracked was based on one of her life experiences. She still makes those *most beautiful* actresses lists, (That should be actors, huh?) I’m an old, black and white movie buff, in case that isn’t clear.

Talk about a wonderful little easter egg! Made my day. So much! :cattail:

*manages a little bounce*

On a separate note. There was a grave plot that left me a little…disturbed. One of those medium-sized family affairs. Except there were no headstones. No plaques. No anything. Save a surprisingly un-dense thicket of Asian Jasmine.

Suspicious, don’t you think? That stuff is usually tight enough to stop a bull. I stuck my hand in, you know, experimentally. It disappeared to the wrist without my fingers grazing ground. I leapt back with remarkable - for me :p - speed and agility.

You know what I’m thinking, don’t you? We skedaddled shortly thereafter.

One movie. Night of the Living Dead.

#scarredasachild

Holy Zombies.

And for the rest of you heathens lacking Tink's and my appreciation for excellent footwear and iconic Hollywood beauties, I give you:

That whole zombie thing? That's why I'm not doing these cemetery crawls on my own.

*standing O for the stunning Ms. Tierney*

You need to go on one of the cemetery tours in New Orleans, enny. And a Haunted History tour from one of the voodoo shops. No zombies, but plenty of vampires!

Hey, Jenny!

(How's Olga? :D)

Funnily enough I'll be in New Orleans this summer. Also - oddly - I've never been on one of the New Orleans cemetery tours. I suspect I'll be squeezing that in. ;)

I am going to stay in a seriously cool hotel! One I saw and fell in love with eons ago. Back when I couldn't afford fancy hotels.

I is excited. :cattail:

And I is jealous! I've only been there twice, once for a conference, the year after Katrina when things were still dead even in the French Quarter, and once with family...my staunchly Baptist family, who couldn't afford any of the fancy restaurants. Seriously, one of them steered us firmly away when we started down Bourbon Street..."You don't want to go down that nasty street." But...but...but...I WANTED to go down that nasty street!!! :(

Which cool hotel? (PM me!)

Helga is jealous too! ;)

I was in NOLA once, it was a business conference. As it was, the priest who married me was an old friend of the family had taken a position there with a religious school and we got together. Anyway he took me to a couple of the nicest spots in the French Quarter. His collar opened doors quickly and got us the best tables and service. It was pretty cool.

Funny the Baptists won't go . . but the Catholics embraced it. :D

So, is the New Orleans trip for business or pleasure? If it's not all work ... well, I'm in need of a road trip. What about you, Jenny?

Dang it! After all that fuss how could I forget it was Helga?

Send pics of the cool hotel. I love cool hotels

2nd hotel pic request noted. ;)

*wonders if Catholicism is closer to Paganism than…Baptistism*

There's a joke in there somewhere. :p

All my trips, in fact all my future activities, are going to be pleasure based.

Oh, goodness. Tired. Too many hours in the saddle. Plus getting into an argument with some lunatic male cyclist who insisted, INSISTED, that women should not wear sport bras under their gear.

Dude.

Yes.

Cyclists go commando.

THAT DOES NOT INCLUDE BRAS

This may have escaped your notice, but that part of the anatomy tends to...need support! GRRR.

Now see? That's what happens when I get overly tired. I get in arguments with virtual strangers about undergarments. :D

*falls into bed*

You just happen to be right on my way to NOLA! I'll swing by in the Barbie car!

You are also on my way to Kink Camp next month....:D

Umm...Kink Camp?

Speaking of road trips, ninety percent sure I'll be in your area end of summer. Maybe we can find a lovely little cafe. You know, sit around and look pretty.

You are the second Texan Litster who has mentioned kink camp in a week. This is intriguing
