Endless Ends

I now know how to do a proper quick stop!

Which is nothing like I would have expected. Rather like this, except less graceful. At least in my case. So, so, so much less gracefully.

That, btw, is not actually a quick stop. She's on a specialized bike, but if you imagine that…whatever that is her tummy is resting on is the saddle, you get the idea.

I look at that and, yeah, I'm getting ideas

Lesson for the day. When whipping creme fraiche be careful how high you turn up the mixer. Otherwise, well…it travels.

Floor, counter, ceiling, fridge, stove, fruit bowl, iwatch, phone, face, clothes, yoga socks. Even toes, thanks to the toeless yoga socks. Yuuuuck!

At least the dogs helped with the floor.

I was thinking it might be at her house ;)

And that would be...DarkSimian for the win!!! :D

It's closer to Enny, actually! Or Cousin Vi. So...we could crash at Enny's place and drive over for the ummmm....festivities!

Sure! Welcome to the nunnery. :p

Did you know there is an age cut off to be a nun?! Forty. Talk about age discrimination! Once you're past forty God doesn't want you.

Adult coloring books. Supposedly great for *little* anxiety. After a couple years dithering (my usual snail-like pace) I have decided to take the plunge!

Now, the hard part.

Choosing. :p

Something with a dark and gothic flair? Or witchy? That would be of the sexy witchy variety. *twitches nose*

No luck in the classic monster vein (werewolves) or Cowboy Bebop. The first is surprising, the latter, not so much, though apparently there was a CB coloring book...at one time!

Who knew?

Decisions, decisions, decisions. I feel a wave of anxiety coming on. :p

Go dark and gothic

I looked for Classic Monsters for you and no luck either, but I saw this pic and now I want it!

Rain. Enough for me to justify sitting around and watching movies. I finally got around to the 1955 version of The End of the Affair. My first exposure was the 1999 version, but I once read a piece where the reviewer preferred the earlier movie due the more sexualized content of the remake.

Different story, to a surprising extent, considering the general premise was not altered in the slightest. Interesting, too, how much of a difference the era makes as far as the style of filming. In this case almost…hmm, a *show* versus *tell* approach? The result of which is a very different end product as the movie deals with intensely emotional themes.

1955 - worth a watch.
1999 - emotionally moving.

Sarah has one line that makes my heart clench. Even in the earlier, more emotionally sanitized version.

"Love doesn't end, just because we don't see each other."
