Endless Ends

Oof.

I let myself get too dehydrated yesterday. Today is draggy.

So, after a quick inspection of yesterday's work, I am firmly ensconced indoors. Baking. So, much baking.

Skillet buttermilk cornbread, buttermilk cornbread muffins, almond flour buttermilk biscuits, buttermilk pudding, lemon curd (to go with the buttermilk pudding.)

Aaaaaaand, I'm not done.

It might be that I needed to use up buttermilk from the dairy. :p

You need some sausage gravy as a side.

Today I learned how to tie a Boom Knot.

My market value zoomed exponentially. 😎

Not really. I'll forget it by tomorrow. 😝

This morning, during my stagger around and get caffeinated period, I happened to look out the kitchen picture window. And saw -

Twenty-seven buzzards on the lawn.

27.

It felt . . . vaguely ominous. 😳

That may be the opening scene in the 2026 version of "The Birds" !! Be careful !

"To explore any negativity associated with the number 27, consider the following points:
  • In some cultures, 27 is viewed as an unlucky number due to superstitions.
  • The number is often linked to the concept of "27 Club," where many famous musicians died at this age.
  • Numerologically, it can represent challenges or obstacles in personal growth.
  • Some people associate it with the end of a cycle, which can evoke feelings of loss or transition. "

I read divine completeness and new beginnings, for which I am totally on board.

Especially in lieu of the other option. 😬

So. Now that I have a minute to sit:

I need a pair of boho overalls. Chicken patterned. (Do not ask. 🙄)

Anyhoo, when faced with a purchase outside my usual realm, I'll often zoom to Amazon to pursue the plethora of knockoffs. It gives me a chance to see what people like, and don't. Like, narrow or wide straps, buttons, bib placement, leg length. That kind of stuff.

It also gives me a chance to assess body fit and cut of the style, by looking at the pictures people post.

Today, while perusing chicken boho overall photos -

I was blessed with an image of a dude. Wearing only a pair of delicate little chicken boho overalls.

This is not the first time that has happened. Same, when I was looking at pink gingham dresses.

You know, wear what you want. No judgement.

But . . . it just throws me for a loop. 😳

I watched Gog (1954) today.

It was an interesting watch, considering the positive renaissance of intellectual science fiction. Gog is considered an early predecessor of such.

I also learned that hydrogen bombs are exponentially more powerful than atomic!

How did I not know this? 😳

The fact that it plays out like a murder mystery doesn't hurt one bit. 😝

Hydrogen bombs use both fusion and fission. I think I picked up that during a nuclear drill in elementary school where they were teaching us to cover our heads under the desks.

Because that will save you …

We did tornado drills, which were basically the same thing.

They used to warn us a day in advance so the girls didn't wear dresses. 😂

Two new words. Or at least words I don't remember learning or seeing in common use. 🤔

Heterodox
Serried
