Endless Ends

I want a couple of sustainable, ethical, quality cashmere sweaters.

(Yes, I realize it's the dead heat of summer. That's when I do most of my winter shopping. 😝)

Why is it so impossible to find them in suitable colors?

Not all of us can wear black, white, or tan. Do better sustainable, ethical, quality cashmere companies!

Look on Etsy for hand knitted/crocheted bunny hugging tree hugging sustainable, ethical, quality cashmere sweaters. It’s going to potentially be pricey, but should exist in multiple colors/patterns.

Honestly, I prefer established brands, even if recent. More standardized quality.

Not Loro Piana level, just a steady presence.

Though I do find myself fascinate by this little item. A cashmere umbrella!!!

So utterly decadent, and, one would think, rather impractical. 🤔

A camel heather cashmere sweater would look nice . . . Turtle Neck or V-Neck?
Crew, or scoop, I think. Possibly turtleneck.

Camel can be beautiful, but it's not a color I can wear. That's so often the difficult I run into. The usual neutrals, which are the commonly produced, just don't work for me. 🤷‍♀️

I'm seeing a few things in muted navy or dull green. I'll probably do something along those lines.

Oof. I achieved my early rising this morning.

A little too early.

Like 4 am early. *thunk*

I didn't get any work done, but I did manage to die several times, rather messily, before noon.

There's just something about New Orleans that evokes all the feelings.

The creole architecture, the always turbulent history baked into the brick walkways, the music in Jackson Square. The politics, the corruptions, the opulence of the Catholic churches.

It's timeless, like it's always existed and always will.

Lost loves, hopeless loves, the heartbreaks of a long-lived life.

The food!! The Court of Two Sisters! Beignets and chicory coffee. The southern gentlemen in their elegant white suiting.

It feels like anything could happen.

It's alive. Like no other place. With a heartbeat and emotions of it's own that overshadows and outlasts those of it's more ephemeral inhabitants.

Maybe it's sad for itself. Maybe it's sad for us.

Maybe I lived there in a previous life. :p
