Is this practical? Not really. I rarely have cocktails and certainly not often enough to justify the purchase a set of square bottomed, crystal coupe glasses. Which I will then have to store somewhere.

Yet . . . I still want them.

My typically unassailable logic seems to be on vacation.

I'm staying in and experience an incredibly low-key type of Halloween, sadly.

However, PBS has this series called Monstrum. It's all about monsters and the history and legends that surround, including how their influence on culture. There are several seasons with creatures I've never heard of, which makes me all kinds of thrilled.

I'm currently watching the special, The Killer Origins of the Werewolf.

While aware the Epic of Gilgamesh is the oldest surviving great work of literature, I somehow managed to not realize it pre-dated the bible.

My brain is a maze of non-connecting information.

It even has its own Great Flood which most likely influenced the story in the old testament.

Plus - history is taught in a horrible fashion in the US. I’m still learning that many things are connected that I didn’t realize.
