Endless Ends

I have decided to purchase new linens.

(Which probably means six months or so. I like to think about things properly before making decision. :p)

Anyhoo, turns out linens are fascinating.

How much would you, should you, could you, pay for bedding?

Would you purchase these? Matouk

What about these? D. Porthault

Or does one run down to the nearest Walmart and spend ten dollars like someone I know. 😝

Also, shouldn't $3,500 sheets be more attractive? 🤔

I just bought a new mattress for slightly more than that. I’m not taking out a loan to buy sheets.

But I wouldn’t mind a romp on them.

Oh, my bad . . . just a misunderstanding on my part. :( On the other hand , I've never been a fan of the term "sexual innuendo" . . . if you break it up into pieces, do you get a different meaning ?: "inn-u-end-o" ! If that's the meaning, then we need it's companion "innufronto:" . . . just sayin'.
I think you may ave ruined the term for me. 😂

With respect to the sheets . . . likely both mentioned are out of my range. But the simplicity of many of the Matouk sheets are far more appealing to me than the busy pattens of D. Porthault. But hey, I'm a man . . . simplicity matters, lol.
Now see, this is my point? The D. Porthault just do not seem attractive. It's hard to see how any "feel" could be enough to make up for the visual. 🤷‍♀️

But I wouldn’t mind a romp on them.
I mean, is it possible they feel that much better. 🤔

Doubtful. Look, cheap sheets are crappy to sleep on, but I think like most things, at a certain point you’re just paying more for a label, status, rarity, whatever. I prefer soft light flannels most of the year anyway.

If you’re taking notes.

Like you should be.

I only learned of the existence of the Neti Pot in the last six or seven years. How I remained in ignorance before is somewhat amazing, considering my seasonal allergies.

Godsend though it is, the sensation remains quite bizarre.

That's all. 😂

Oh! Oh!

I watched the 1979 version of Dracula again today and it left me with a question.

Why are none of the actor is the primary Dracula movies particular attractive?

I'd rate Frank Langella's performance highest on the sexy scale. He gives a quiet . . . sensuous portrait of our favorite vampire. But, he just doesn't appeal to me personally. Nor did Bella Lugosi or Gary Oldman. 🤷‍♀️

Shouldn't Dracula be a . . . a . . . sexy beast?

Or is his appeal that he's not that attractive yet still has the ineffable pull? 🤔

For Lugosi, it was his hypnotic draw. Allegedly, when he performed on the stage, some women would get into a trance and try to get on the stage with him. I don’t know if that’s true, or just good marketing, but you get women with your eyes, the rest is just kind of extra stuff. 👀

True. And super interesting if the stage thing is also true.

Is that how you get women, Muscles? 👀

:p

Amazing how that one movie role became so iconic. You know Lugosi had no expectation of it catching fire like it did. I suppose, in a way, it started with Nosferatu (1921), but that dracula rendition didn't spawn a franchise.

The great thing about the internet, it’s only true if you want it to be.
That . . . is not entirely comforting.

I heard from someone else that it is true. Just balls. Hot balls.

(This is the internet, Jefferson told me that it was always right. Maybe it was Ben Franklin, but either way, you got to believe them right?)
Wasn't Jefferson the one that did all the duels? Or was he the one that seduced his colleagues daughters and had a romance novel written about him? 🤔

Either way, seems his rendition of events might be sketchy.

:p

Oh! Oh! Not that! 😳

"The natural flavoring, castoreum, used in the past to mimic vanilla was a secretion from a beaver's castor sac which is located near the anus"

Seems it was used in other food stuffs like custards and ice cream as well.

It's not used anymore. Not because it's gross. Because it's too expensive.

And, I don't know. Possibly the beavers object

Either way. 🤮

The next time I’m eating at a fancy restaurant I’m sending my meal back and telling the Chef it needs more Beaver Butthole. 😁
