Hello all. Been a while since ive been around. Usually just lurkde around the boards. But anyway.

My problem is.

When I was younger I was one of those kids that always use to masterbate...alot

And I never had lube so it was skin on skin usually...

it was great for bit then later say 4 or 5 years ago...how do I explain this its kinda hard.

On the penis not the base but where the head connects to the base. say your looking down at it guys. where the base ends and teh head begins . like before where the circumsized foreskin usually rests...that area hurts alot...and its only on the top.

Whenever I say masterbate anymore it starts to hurt. or if I have sex SOMETIMES it starts to hurt sometimes it dosent....if my gf is messing around with me down there say giveing me a hand job or something . if she rubs up against that spot enough it starts to hurt. After to much rubbing against it it turns redder than the rest of the penis.

My problem is...how in the world do I fix this? ive been meaning to ask for a while but ive been so embarrassed to ask.

I feel like its my fault for not useing lube and im afraid its going to be like this the rest of my life. Im only 25 I dont want to have to deal with this til im dead.

Is there any creams or any other treatments you guys could recomend? And if your a guy and its happend to you can you explain how you might have gotten past this problem?

Again any help is appreciated.

And before anyone asks I really dont think its an std because this was happening before I ever had sex the first time or received any type of oral.

Thank you again!

Maybe try a different grip, or use lubrication? I've never experienced this problem, but I have heard of situations very similar to yours. A man and woman will be going at it missionary, and the woman's pelvic bone severely irritates the top of the penis. The usual solution is creams and different positions, from what I've heard. Have you considered seeing a doctor?

I have thought about it but my job dosent offer insurance and im afraid I wont be able to afford it...I woudlnt even know if I should go to a regular dr or some specialty dr..

Just very confuseing for me.

What type of creams would you suggest?

Im pretty sure its because my thumb always use to hit that spot and it just got rubbed and rubbed and rubbed to much over the year....i just pray there is something that can fix it :\

Seriously, it is your dick. You only get one and it will remain a huge part of your life. Go to a free clinic if you cannot afford a doctor. If a normal doctor can't help they will at least know the right person to send you to. Or get in contact with a nurse:

Also, get an STD check, it may have nothing to do with masturbation.

Have you tried not masturbating or having sex for awhile? If so, does the painful area start to clear up? If not, try this for a week or two, and see what happens. You might try boiling up some water and sea salt, letting it cool until it's warm, then soaking some gauze or a cotton ball in the salt water and putting it on the painful area. If it's just a friction thing, this should speed the healing.

If it doesn't clear up with that, go to the drug store and buy some maximum strength hydrocortisone cream. It's usually with the skin medicines, and may say something about itch relief. Cortisone10 is one brand name, but generic is fine; just look at the back of the boxes and find the maximum strength of the Active Ingredient, Hydrocortisone. Apply it 2-3 times a day for a couple of weeks, and see if it clears up. Don't masturbate, have sex, or otherwise mess with the area for this period.

If that doesn't work, you need to see a doctor for sure. A regular doc at a free/low-cost clinic should be fine. Use google to find clinics in your area, or the nearest big city. If it's something like psoriasis or more severe exzcema, you'll likely need a prescription to clear it up.

If you're worried, or it gets worse, go to a doctor sooner.

Sorry, but there's simply no way we can do anything but guess from your description. Even with a pic, we'd likely just be guessing because there are A LOT of skin conditions, and many of them look similar. In the end, you're going to need to see a doc if simple homecare/OTC measures don't clear this up.

Aside from what Erika said (who is incredibly knowledgeable, by the way) all I can add is 'invisible rash'... all the discomforts of a rash without the visual symptoms of one. It's rare though. It's recommended that you keep the skin clean and dry and free from irritations.

If the symptoms has lasted for more than a week, or worsen, please see a doctor/dermatologist/health care provider. It could be nothing more than irritation or it could be symptomatic of much greater problem. Google free/low cost health clinics in your area, make an appointment, and go and be brutally honest with the doctor. S/He could care less what you do, they just want to heal you as quickly and painlessly as possible.

Good luck.

I don't believe I was able to deduce from your post if you have been recently masturbating with your "old method". Has there been a time where you just let it heal and it didn't bother you anymore? I don't usually ever use any lubes and have had times on occasion where I would get sore, but I would just let it heal for a while and it would get better. I wouldn't think that your problem would be a lifelong thing if you let it heal and then refrained from the kind of activities which woul re-injure it. If I am wrong regarding all of this and you believe this might actually be a permanent condition which is not going to heal, your best bet is going to a urologist. They are very helpful and there really isn't anything they haven't seen or heard before.

I have a simmilar problem, when masturbating in the shower, my foreskin esposes my head and my foreskin sometimes gets caught where the head and penis combine, i assume its because my foreskin hasnt been streched enough.

It cant be a STD as im a virgin and dont do drugs.

I'm in my 50s and have been masturbating without lube for all my life and haven't had any problems. I used to masturbate a couple times a day and even now average maybe 5 times a week. I think the recommendations for a visit to a doctor is spot on.
