Yes I know but both ABC and NBC are calling PA for Obama now...they don't usually call states unless they're very certain that state is going to that candidate. Not since 2000...they're more careful.

Yeah, I don't get it either. In Virginia for example, the majority of the state is red, while the heavily populated Northern Virginia is blue, which could carry the state for Obama. Do the statistical models and exit polls account for stuff like that?

I half expect each network to be so eager to be the first to call a state that they jump the gun.

Democrats in Texas, Maryland, Missouri, Mississippi, Alabama and Arkansas reported receiving text messages saying they could vote for Obama on Wednesday. An e-mail circulated in Arkansas and robocalls in Missouri also told voters they could cast their ballots Wednesday.
