I'm Bored!

and need to pad my post count!
So I thought I'd post some pics from my recent trip to Georgia.
These are from a place called High Falls State Park. A really beautiful place!! Hope you enjoy them!

The main falls is, of course, at the top of a hill. Actually it is a dam, but below the damn are all kinds of smaller falls..

...so of course you have to walk down hill to get to the lower falls...

...they have it set up really nice though, there are nature trails and steps all over the place!

it is really a beautiful place and I walked down about 1/4 plus miles..

And I looked upwards....and said...OH SHIT!!!

But no big deal... I am in pretty good shape, I walk at least 3 miles at least 4 times a week for exercise, I've lost about 35 lbs in the last 6 months and have lost almost 60 lbs all together in the last 2 years! So I figure, what the hell... its only about 1/4 mile...

So I turn my ass around and basically sprint up that freakin' hill!! I do all right until I get about 1/2 way up, and then my body starts to tell me... "hey dumbass... this isn't a Florida beach, you aren't used to hills... you don't have those down there!" And WHAM! I run out of gas!

So I turn my ass around and basically sprint up that freakin' hill!! I do all right until I get about 1/2 way up, and then my body starts to tell me... "hey dumbass... this isn't a Florida beach, you aren't used to hills... you don't have those down there!" And WHAM! I run out of gas!

Well I made it to the top, but let me tell ya!!! It wasn't easy... I bet I sounded like a freight train by the time I got to my truck!! Sorry, ran out of falls pics, but this is my cousins back yard!

Anyway, I made it to my truck, and it didnt take me too long to catch my breath!!!!! LOL But I have decided that we need to install some hills here in FL so I can do some serious walking!

Thanks for sharing my pics and my story!! BTW... this is my cousin's front yard!!

Love the pictures of the Falls... reminds me of going through the mountians in Jasper...hiking through the trails and then have them open up to a sight like that.

And im sure you are in very good shape.... based on some of those pictures you have posted in the other thread...~wink~
