One good thing about Britain, because of the whole BSE thing, we now have the most tested cattle/ sheep/ abattoirs in the world.

One good thing about Britain, because of the whole BSE thing, we now have the most tested cattle/ sheep/ abattoirs in the world.

I can't say if you are right or not on that, but it's a bigger issue for countries your way as the organs tend to be utilized for human consumption more than over here.

The E.coli issue scares me more.

I haven't looked at your system, but I would bet that not unlike Canada and the US, consumers are TOLD that, but the truth is that there is a significant breakdown in the transfer of the information between birthplace and hook.

Not any more. You forget what a big deal BSE/ CJD was over here.

Most food is like that now. Whenever there's an outbreak they know almost immediately where it came from. Very rare that they can't pinpoint the source within a day or two. Sometimes it will take them a while to figure out how but they always know where.
