What does this mean to you?

If you're going to do something unpopular, or unacceptable, or illegal, you do it outside your normal stomping grounds?

Actually. What that makes me think of is Nepal. My sister is about to go there with the Peace Corps. In the country they all eat at the table with their left (i think) hand under the table. Usually eating out of large leaves with their other hand.
The reason they do this. They don't use toilet paper.. they wipe their bums with their hands, and have a bucket of water next to the hole in the floor. Just the culture.

I told her we'd send her TP in all her care packages, but she's still been working on always eating with her hand under the table so people wont look at her like she's gross when there for two years.

Farts are a part of life. Even Jesus farted. I think my family should know when I have performed a beautiful act such as this, so I make sure to store up my farts throughout the day and let them out nosily at key-moments (dinner time, in bed, etc.).

Yeah that might even be more suitable in this specific case.

Well, lesson learned anyways. :(

Don't fuck the guy who you're about to rent from.

Well, never hurts to try- but if he gets all clingy and emotional, run. And then you have to find a new place to live.

That sucked.

Oh, teach me - teach me!! Are they louder that way, and stinkier?

Don't date your co-workers.
That's what I think of when I hear this saying- most likely because that's what my sister said to me when I rebounded with one of my co-workers.

Do you think it applies in other areas in which you spend a lot of time?

I've never done it. Of course, I work in a male-dominated industry. I have been tempted, but never succumbed, so I have no story to tell.

Intuitively, it just seems something not to do.

Where else are you going to meet people?

Anywhere...school, workplace, local bar...any place you might spend a fair portion of your time.

Yes. I'm not dependant on those places for my income (rather, they most likely contribute to my outgo), so I think people met there are fair game for pursuing something a bit further.

Pursuing is one thing, but on an off chance you might do something you'll later come to regret, is it not better to not do so in an area in which you might not want it found out?

Voice of experience?

Yep. If it goes bad and you did it in a place it can haunt you, it was a bad decision.

Don't shit in your own backyard. That's how I know it.

Sure was. A minute of my life (literally) that seems it will follow me forever.

All this worry and regret for a minute? That stinks. And I am sorry.

If you can, let it go. If the mistake is such that it will affect your studies or career, can you minimize the damage now before it has a chance to spread?
