I'm just owning up to the fact, just EMBRACING the fact, that I must be 50/50.

Half the time I fantasize about being dominant, treating a female slave like a fuck-toy. Degredation, humiliation, filthy sex, the sky is the limit. Very exciting stuff.

BUT the other half the time I think about being treated the exact same way by a female. Just as filthy and degrading.

Sometimes I'll alternate these sub/dom fantasies on a daily basis, sometimes I'll stick with one for a week or a month. No rhyme or reason, really -- just both sides of the coin represented an equal amounts.

So... is this common? I see a lot of people who identify themselves as dom or sub, buyt are their many who sort of float between the two?

Just wondering if I'm alone in my weirdness, or not.

As has been a little "cryptic" in pierced boy's reply, the "term" for that is "Switch", petty selfexplanatory I think.

If you want to have a bit more info on it, then I advise to take a look at the BDSM Library Thread pretty much to the end of page 3.

I am sure there is more info - so feel free to do a search on "switch" here on the forum or "BDSM Switch" at google.com, and I am sure you get more info than you ever thought possible ... and definitely you will see you are in quite a numerous company with your desires and fantasies.

Oh - and don't let anyone make you think your switching makes you a lesser Dominant ur submissive ... as long as it feels ok for you and your partner it is fine!

Common is what is the norm for you, what makes you comfortable.

It's all good. If you want to switch, do so.

You might be what is known as a "switch" - as Hecate and Eb have already mentioned. Some people can switch back and forth depending on their moods. Other people have a stronger tendency towards one or the other. (They are predominately sub, but can be in the position of Dominant sometimes) Others need certain situations. Example: a female sub who is submissive to a male Dominant, but may take on the qualities of a Domme with another female.

Doesn't mean you are any "less" or any "better". It's just what you prefer and what makes you "tick". We all have our individual kinks. We just need to find that comfortable place where we can enjoy them.

I know exactly where you are coming from... I'm pretty much the same way... but not quite as subby. I have mild sub fantasies. It must be my 1st grade teacher's fault. I remember that spanking with the wooden paddle to this day. Even more humiliating was the fact that she made me pull down my pants... and we were in a storage room and the 2nd grade teacher (also a female) was there to "supervise". LOL. Mmmm the good ole days.
