I think it helps. It hard to tell if people read them because they can't really reply back.

Feedback is Great

I think getting feedback is the best way to know how well they liked the direction you are going and if they have any ideas to continue it.

I usually try to think two or three threads down the path as I write and it helps to get feed back from the editor as to how well they like the direction so far.

I can't stand it when I don't get some kind of feedback, especially on a reject.

Must agree with jakelyon here.

I check my ratings and feedbacks once in a while. I *always* check if story moderators added a comment to my thread when they accept/reject it. And ya, it irks me too when one is rejected with no tip or trick to improve it whatsoever.
