On "Ray" tonight, they were talking about how Ray faked not knowing how to fold laundry in order to get out of folding it forever. His wife faked not knowing how to set the VCR, in order to not have to do it. My SO fakes not knowing how to iron in order to get me to do it for him. Little does he know I just by him the "no-wrinkles" stuff and continue to take the credit.

I can't think of anything I fake at the moment (besides the obvious), but it might come to me.

What do *you* fake?

I find that hard to believe. ;)
I'm really good at faking it.

E_E, that reminds me of this poem by Shel Silverstein:

How Not To Have
To Dry The Dishes

If you have to dry the dishes
(Such an awful, boring chore)
If you have to dry the dishes
('Stead of going to the store)
If you have to dry the dishes
And you drop one on the floor--
Maybe they won't let you
Dry the dishes anymore.

when i was a teenager and had to do dishes, i would drop and break one everytime to get my mother irritated enough that she wouldnt want me to do dishes anymore.
And that worked?!? My mom would probably have made me do twice as many so I'd get better....

Bravo EE!

Do you fake it well? Cause I've seen more than a few instances of people who don't, and it's not pretty.

;)
I guess that depends entirely upon the judge of my intelligence

but my guess is better than average

Anything related to cars or bug-killing.

*grins*

My kind of woman.

Actually, I tried faking not knowing how to change a tire once, but the guy was putting the lug nuts on the wrong way and I was too worried that the tire would come off, so I re-tightened them in the star pattern, and he got a little ticked.

Oh well.

one could fake anything one wanted too if one cared enough about others involved.

That's very true. I guess the trick is to fake it to the point that it's believable.

I've almost convinced myself. I'm a good bullshitter, english major an' all.

Now that I think about it, I've heard that if you are in a bad mood, and you go around smiling and acting happy, your mood will change. So maybe you've convinced yourself to be happy.
Well done, if that's the case.

I didn't think one *could* fake happiness. Huh.

I have faked happiness before...it is possible.

I know that my hubby (separated...how I wish I could say ex) faked...knowing how to even toss garbage into the garbage pail. He would have others do things that he could. Just cos he could get away with it.

I found out that guys can't fake an orgasm, that's how she found out I was faking about a lot of other stuff too.
