I do. I am also pretty sure I've been put on ignore.

Sometimes I have to place people on ignore at work. They want to carry on and gossip, but I have to be places at specific times. I cannot lollygag around. Other times it is just the shear negativity I have to walk away from. I tend towards being highly empathetic, so there are times I just have to cut the cord to preserve my own sanity. Then they want to be like, fucking bitch, and I refuse to play that game. Time to get some shit done and show them what it's all about.

I try to use that ignore function alot more now than ever before, so long as there is no danger to any human life in the area

I just pretty much removed myself from society.

I think they gave me a standing "O"

but

I wasn't around...

People be that stupid when they "society."
You have your basic murder of crows and your society of stupid.

I strive for a drama free life. Not there yet, but ignoring certain people moves me closer to that goal. Some people love sucking other people into their drama.

Nah...I have no problem ignoring on my own. I don't need help. I've found if you don't respond/engage, they just stop.

I wish:rolleyes:. Too often this is what iggy in RL means

as i've grown older, my ability to tolerate bullshit has shrunk, or rather my ability to refuse to engage with the soul-sappers has improved. everyone else's needs do not automatically come before my own, and my own mental health is better for not allowing the vampires to feed freely.

i have a general sort of rule... if someone i like seriously fucks me off (and it takes a lot) once, ok, might be a one-off and we all make mistakes; seriously fuck me off twice? that's about it. i disengage.

for the general 'noise' of the malcontents, the rude, the inner-ugly people? i can sort of tune them out unless it's to an outrageous extent...when i'll step in and speak up.

It is simple...you not vaccinated or refuse to wear a mask...you are ignored.

You voted for a Fascist traitor or Republican in the last 10 years...you are ignored.

You are a repeated hypocrite...you are ignored.

Why the fuck would I want any of those morally corrupt individuals around me?

You just cannot help yourself can you?

You are being consumed by political Tourette's and are actually doing those people a favor
for they most assuredly want to ignore your presence/existence...

Why don't you go banter with UncleBill?

The Internet allows those who lack social skills an artificial environment in which they can limit their interactions and avoid being triggered.

Real life requires more, but if you can’t handle it, you should probably just stay online.

I those whom you refer to have a subset that is perpetually triggered
and the internet allows them an outlet for their frustrations...

I see it more as one of the Science Fiction
scenarios, like Surrogates...

I'm a no bullshit zone for sure....violators are shown the door....they usually think I am the one with a problem. They can go TAFF!

Of course. Sometimes I put everyone on iggy for a weekend and stick only to my books.

You’d have to be a real fuckwit for me to ignore you. Real life or online.

I ignore a lot more online, for sure. Trolls or wannabes who wouldn’t dare say half the shit they do online to someone’s face.
