Might seem like a weird question, but it's a serious one! I'm a straight girl who's obsessed with gay male porn (videos and stories), and was just wondering if this happens in the other direction, as well. Figured I could ask here...

I don't really have much opportunity to view porn, so I would say no, don't look at hetero porn. On the net, I primarily like to read stories and what porn I do look at is 100% gay oriented.

The very little porn either I or my BF have at home is all gay, and when we are visiting, if someone has porn on, that means sex is probably going to happen or is at least contemplated, and it is gay porn...I haven't asked or polled any of my other friends (mostly other gay men), and would venture a guess, that all the gay guys I know, have only but gay porn, but I could be wrong.

To be honest the presence of a woman in the scene would tend to kill the mood for me. But that is just me.

Lesbian here. I watch heterosexual porn. I wouldn't say I love it to the point where I'm usually watching it, but I can like and enjoy it. It doesn't hurt that there's a woman in it and I can imagine that I'm the one pleasing her.

All that said, for the most part, I don't like the way women are treated by men in heterosexual porn. I know that porn isn't supposed to be all lovey-dovey, but it's almost always about the man's pleasure or the man's pleasure more than the woman's pleasure, which upsets me. It's just one reason so many damn men don't know about stimulating a woman's clitoris, for goodness sakes, and think that sexual pleasure for women is all about penetration. Yes, a lot of young males grow up watching porn thinking that's how women generally like to be pleased or that they should expect it. Anal sex, for example? Porn would have one thinking that anal sex is a very common/typical thing, when research shows that it's the least performed sex act among heterosexuals and same-sex couples (when compared to sex acts like oral sex and mutual masturbation). I always hear/see women complaining about how their boyfriend and/or husband wants anal sex, is obsessed with anal sex or only wants anal sex. And I, like researchers state, can only attribute it to the rise of anal porn. Nothing wrong with a man wanting anal sex. But expecting all women to want it/like it? No. And the same goes for ass-to-mouth, performing oral sex (fellatio) and facials.

I'll watch just about anything. When watching porn, the activities are more important to me than the participants. I find porn very objectifying, so when I watch it (I'm in a down cycle now, have been reading more than watching), I end up objectifying the people, because that's what you do, I guess.

Honestly... the gender of folk in porn doesn't really enter into my mind, but my tastes are a little dark... Sometimes so dark that it has to be animated because there's no way to carry it out in RL without killing yourself. So I tend to watch a lot of hentai- yaoi, yuri or just 'hentai' it's all good as long as there's a heavy bdsm aspect.
