Yes, and now I've read what she/they said in response. I have no intention of asking Lauren Hynde's permission for anything. I have no intention of going over to that forum ever again where they censor you at whim. But I do find it hilarious they thought that poem was about them.

So I'll just print out Lauren Hynde's PM and stick it on the wall with some other jokes. Funniest thing from her since she said after she won the 5th Anniversary Holiday Contest words to the effect that there wasn't much cheating.

I've had stories in every contest for the past year and the cheating has been...well...enlightening. In fact, if you pay real close attention like I do, you can tell who does the cheating.

Incidentally, Deborah, the PM in question was sent minutes after your post I am quoting, which is about 12 hours or so after the post was deleted. Definitely a CYA move on her part.

Nobody kicked you out of the poetry forum. You're welcome to post whatever you want whenever you want unless it breaks the rules by spamming, posting personal information about another user, etc. If you do that your post will be deleted. If you have a problem with that, you need to get in touch with Laurel--she and Manu set the site up that way. They own the site. They are very open to suggestion, but you'll need a legitimate complaint.

As for me being a member of a "Nazi Regime," well that's a rather inappropriate term for me given that I lost about 40 members of my family in the death camps of WWII. How many have you lost? Do you ever reread your posts and think about what you've said before you hit "Submit Reply"? You should.

I'm sure a reference to despots as a "Nazi regime" has been made, oh, about a million times. Specifically, that remark was directed toward the person(s) who censored me, which apparently you were not since you suggested that I may have deleted it myself. So specifically, that remark was directed at Lauren Hynde (who pushed the button) and Tristesse and Tathagata (who egged her on to do so).

If you don't like what I said or say, do what was suggested to me--take it to Laurel.

But you could tell me this, since you are a moderator--what EXACTLY did I do or say that resulted in my censorship? I re-posted that post in this thread. I'm sure you can find it. What EXACTLY is in that post that resulted in my censorship? That's my question. I have never been told by PM or on these boards how EXACTLY my post violated the Forum Guidelines. Am I making it clear what EXACTLY I'm asking for?

Here's what you said--

Part of the problem here is that the convicts are running the prison.

The Nazi regime kicked me out of the Poetry Feedback & Discussion form after my one and only post.

Yes, they deleted my post on the "Public Comments and YDD" thread, stating "Originally posted by sarahhh for the sake of general sanity."

This is exactly what I posted:

You say "Nazi Regime" has been used about "a million times." Where? In the thread? In the world? There are all sorts of nasty epithets in the world, but just because they exist doesn't make using them ok.

And looking at your own words, there is no way to determine who you mean (i.e., Lauren, Tess, Tathagata). Anyway hurtful comments affect more people than the ones to whom they're specifically addressed. Of the three names you mention, Lauren is the only moderator. The other poetry board moderators are myself and Wicked Eve. Only moderators can remove a post, and frankly I didn't see anything in either Tess's or Tathagata's posts that could be referred to as "egging on" anyone to do anything. I'm giving you specific information. Can you do the same? What *exactly* convinced you that they were egging her on? Have you asked her?

Here are the guidelines posted on the Poetry forum:

The general guidelines of Literotica apply here and include:

1. No spam / No promoting of other websites.
2. No personals ads
3. No posting of another's personal information
4. No personal threats
5. No posting of copyrighted images

The various poets here represent many different views about what constitutes good poetry, but anyone can disagree and rants do happen. Please avoid personal insults and flame wars-- they just waste everyone's time.

I'm not sure--assuming the post of yours I refer to above--is the one in question (you weren't specific about which post of yours it was and I really don't know), why it was deleted. I haven't talked with Lauren about it. I can't tell you *exactly* but in this post your poem to MET is at best insulting and could be interpreted as a personal threat.

I don't want to fight with you about whether or not your post deserved to be deleted--that's a waste of both our time; Lauren made a judgment call. Would I make the same one? I'm not sure--I might, especially given the personally insulting nature of that note to MET. And having said that, I think enough personal nastiness has been spewed on this subject, and I have no desire to be part of it any longer.

I also don't have a problem with you. If I did, I'd say what I want to say to you directly--as I have in these posts. I only suggested you check with Laurel if you felt you needed to because you seemed to be questioning moderators' rights to carry out actions based on the rules, and Laurel is the one who set them initially. She is the person to ask if you don't believe/agree with the moderator.

My main point though is that NO ONE kicked you off any forum. I have yet to see anything suggesting that's true. You are welcome to post in any forum at Lit and, as I said, if you don't like the site guidelines, that's your choice. Having a post deleted is simply what happens when a moderator feels it's outside these guidelines. It's not harassment or censorship-certainly not as far as I see in this case.

You have no clue. You have absolutely no frigging clue. Either that or you are talking jive just to confuse everyone.

You said, "I didn't see anything in either Tess's or Tathagata's posts that could be referred to as 'egging on' anyone to do anything."

Now read the thread where my post was deleted carefully. After I posted Tristesse says, "someone put a match to it, please" and Tathagata says, "ahhhhhhhh, thank you (I agree)".

What do you think your camp fire girls are talking about--roasting marshmallows? And then Lauren Hynde pushed the button and they all (giggle, giggle) got their rocks off. There was some other shit on there that got "edited" but I won't talk about what I can't see now.

Hey, Angeline, I'll go over your post I quoted point by point and humiliate you if that's what you want. So tell me.

I am really fucking pissed right now in case you can't tell. Not only did I get censored but now "someone" wants to make it appear I did something like reveal someone's personal information or otherwise violate some Forum Guidelines. Fuck that. I didn't do any such thing. Fuck you.

Okey dokey. Thanks for your well-thought out opinion. Feel free to post in whatever forum you like though I'd suggest you familiarize yourself with guidelines prior to posting. If you wish to discuss this further feel free to contact me, any of the other moderators, or Laurel via pm. Have a nice day.

Hey, that reminds me. If it hadn't been for your bitching back then I wouldn't have even written that story - which remains the only one I have ever posted. So, thanks! Christmas was nice. :)

Hey, is that the thanks I get for inspiring your winning story? You censor me?

The "bitching" referred to for those who don't know is complaining about the cheating. I won the Halloween contest (a story that got about 30 of them there snert 1 votes). But I didn't claim the prize. No, I said to use the money to buy those cheating some integrity and honesty.

The title of that Halloween story was "Sons of the Dragon." You are the inspiration for my story to be submitted for this year's Halloween contest. It will be entitled "Daughter of the Dragon." You are a horror story.

Stick it!

So I went over to the Poetry Feedback & Discussion forum the other day and didn't get anything remotely resembling an intelligent response from the moderators or anyone else. Now I see the moderators are here.

I did a little research on how the "moderation" of that forum began. Wicked Eve's first words on the first post dated 02-23-2004 to the "You are being moderated!" thread: "The Poets are going to mod this forum so we can do the great sticky. Yes, the poetry board now has the power to stick things. I'm so excited."

I don't think Wicked Eve intended for another moderator to interpret "stick things" as zapping posts at her pleasure.

Speaking of a "great sticky" my husband is a Doctor of Psychology. Maybe I'll have him help me do a psycho profile of the problem child we have here who likes to "stick it" to other's stories with 1 votes.

He told me an interesting story last night. A certain university research group advertised for participants in a study of obsessive-compulsive disorder. They wanted therapy clients who had been diagnosed with this disorder. The response was overwhelming--they got 4,000 responses within three days after the ad was published. All from the same person.

Maybe that's how this problem child makes a living--participating in such studies. Well, we'll just have to do our own little study here.

:) Thanks. Let me know how that turns out.

edited to add, because I'm really starting to like you, that my story, being stranded on a very overlooked category, received 43 votes during the contest, 5 of which were deleted by Laurel within 24 hours of being cast. Of those fraudulent 5, only two of them were 1s and produced any significant impact on the rating. On the last two days of voting, it didn't get a single vote, favourable or not. You'll understand from that why I said I didn't feel there was much cheating going on at that occasion, and the little that existed was promptly and effectively dealt with by Laurel.

Oh, and I love Dragons. Can you make it a blue one? Thanks, doll.

A dragon but not blue? :) Lov4 your subtleties otherwise. Who are these underscore 100 IQs I keep responding too? Tired bed ;) now. bi - who the fuck cares? Except me bed now?

Yes, I know you are, "the best fucking lesbian writer here." My lesbian friend, My Erotic Tail, told me so. Congratulations.

I'd provide some response to the rest of what you said, but I can't understand it.

My condolences to all those poets who lost such a loved one. I heard about it, but I can't go over to the Poetry Feedback & Discussion forum and express my feelings because I'm censored. My bad.

It's not about you! Get over it!

I am having considerable difficulty determining EXACTLY what you found objectionable.

Let's see, you snipped and quoted this part of what I said, "My condolences to all those poets who lost such a loved one. I heard about it, but I can't go over to the Poetry Feedback & Discussion forum and express my feelings because I'm censored. My bad."

Got it! The last sentence "My bad" right? Well, we'll just fix that. Consider the last sentence revised to "Me bad" from "My bad." That of course changes the meaning from that I did one bad thing for which I got censored ("My bad") to I'm always bad ("Me bad").

Hey, I got even with Lauren Hynde now, didn't I? Deleted her posts on this thread.
