Dictator DeSatinist Seeks State Control Of Private Industry

Another very telling post from BabyBoobs.

Sociopaths often lack the insight or self awareness to recognize their self serving negative behavior, and will NEVER admit to it when it is clearly illustrated for them.

Decent intelligent people see RWCJ sociopaths like BabyBoobs for what they are, which triggers RWCJ sociopaths like BabyBoobs because they think they’re being clever.

Keep trying BabyBoobs.

Keep failing BabyBoobs.

And if it were a Democratic governor taking retaliatory action against a gun manufacturer, an oil company, or heaven forbid Twitter, the left would go crazy.

Cheer up. The woke corporation Libs are so passionately concerned about still gets the special tax breaks and impact fee waivers that are not available to its competitors. Walt Disney has gotten one hell of a return on his investments in those Florida politicians he bought over a half century ago.
Just like they bought DeSantis, right?

DeSantis is very tuned into Florida voters. The ill-conceived Disney attack on Florida’s Parental Rights in Education law and the governor’s counter move began last year. It was an election year and DeSantis knew Floridians are not like the Californians where Disney is based. His move helped propel him to a resounding 19 point reelection victory and a sharp rise in his national standing.

BabyBoobs seems really “tuned into” (obsessed with) Florida “man” and Hunter Biden’s dick pics.

Tell us more BabyBoobs.

Few people realize that Disney used to routinely funnel $50K per election cycle directly to DeSantis campaigns. Just DeSantis. When Disney announced they were turning the cash spigot off to the nascent neo-homophobes, then and ONLY then did DeSantis go anti-Disney.

Everything Florida “man” has done has been designed to appeal to the hatred, and exploit the fragility, of angry and terrified cis white privileged / Christo-fascist voters.

Florida “man” is a MAGAt fraud cutting back room deals with Disney while behaving like a SOCIALIST and begging for federal money after hurricanes.

Get ready; because there are two more hurricane seasons and who knows what kind of economic trials before the 2024 election.

We are going to see Florida “man” contort the MAGAt “message” beyond recognition to fit some kind of broad appeal general electability.

The only question is if Florida “man” can out MAGAt (lie) the orange MAGAt.

We shall see.

*nods*

I guess you think that deflection is better than trying to show them they're wrong about DeSantis, which, of course, they aren't.

hilarious

watching those who hate big corporations turn on a dime to defend special privileges for a corporation
one proven willing to go woke broke

why do they do this
republican

because they are woke they have no palatable bench
the only way to level the playing field
destroy republican

angry twits
they lost their home

lost their way

too funny

So why did DeSantis keep the money and change his mind on Disney?

That's exactly it. He has no understanding of the situation, he has only read about it or been told about it recently - and only listens to sources which tell him what he wants to hear. His only interest is trying to be smug and to own the libs. He has been consistently wrong on every defense of conservatives using government as a tool of revenge. His minimization is his way of dismissing any real life concerns and issues. Because owning the libs is more important than good governance.

See this is exactly the problem. This isn't about some nefarious deed Disney has done. It isn't about a company from California running a part of Florida so Floridians are all pissed because outsiders have a say about an area the size of one of their counties. This isn't about Disney trying to get over on the state of Florida. This is solely about a "woke" corporation that De Santis is taking retribution on for expressing an opinion. It's a blatant and undisguised attempt to shut Disney up. Apparently you are okay with curtailing free speech as long as it's someone you don't agree with. But I know for a fact from your past posts that you go hermitile if anyone questions the veracity of anything said by a conservative.

As far as the vaunted and esteemed legislature and staff of Florida, I've seen many a state (from both sides of the political spectrum) step on their dicks because the legislators thought they knew better. Ya'll seem to think Disney has no alternative and are going to just take what ever De Santis decides to do, that they are going to roll over and just accept this. AIN'T GUNNA HAPPEN. They have something in the works. What I have no idea, but after reading a few more legal opinions besides the one from the article I cited, they have several avenues to explore.

Let's see how this plays out. And when it does, when Disney finally decides to make a move, I'll do something I rarely do. I'll come back to you with an "I told you so".

So Disney did decide, they decided not to fight it. Why? Because what De Santis did, what the Florida legislature did, means jack shit as far as the operation of Disney World. They lose things like the ability to build a nuclear power plant (which they weren't ever going to do anyway) but retain all the important day to day powers that make the operation of Disney World possible. So what did De Santis and the legislature accomplish? Political theater, nothing more. They made it LOOK like they were being tough guys, pandering to their voters when in reality they did nothing of consequence that will affect Disney's operation. De Santis may be an autocratic asshole, but he ain't stupid. He (and Florida) need Disney and Disney needs them. So, like the consummate politician he is, he played the game, made it LOOK like he was being tough on Disney, but in the real world, did nothing at all.

Figures

Experts: Disney likely won't fight Reedy Creek district law in court. Here’s why.

Laz is definitely a hater suffering from TDS on steroids. I guess the woke culture created by the last CEO is coming back to haunt them. Now that Covid is in the rear view mirror woke employees don’t want to return to work, rather stay home. Once the amusement park was reopened all bets are off and workers need to return to their work stations.

What I find ironic and comical is that leftists lit posters are up in arms about freedom of speech. Can’t get more hypocritical than that. Four years of suppressing conservative speech and now they go bizerk over parents having a say at what is taught to K- three children in Florida schools..Maybe Disney’s business model is outdated.

Which lit posters are up in arms? Make a list, I'm willing to bet the up in arms are the rwcj crowd you belong to....*chuckles*

You don't even understand freedom of speech.

with D.W being one of, it not the largest employers in Florida, and accountable for bringing in countless $s in tourism money spent outside the walls of D.W, de santis is all about words not actions. This CEO has made a smart move, with actions counting more than just words.

Disney World will host the annual Out & Equal Workplace Summit in September.

"The largest LGBTQ+ conference in the world, with more than 5,000 attendees every year. It brings together executives, ERG leaders and members, and HR and DEI professionals and experts -- all working for LGBTQ+ equality," the event's organizer, Out & Equal, said on its website.
The Florida governor wants to be perceived as battling 'woke" Disney without actually hurting his state's relationship with the company. The newspaper described exactly how that works when it looked at the new government powers the state has taken from the theme park giant.

The subsequent legislation left most of Disney’s special powers in place despite the governor’s attempt to dissolve the district. The conservative members the governor appointed to the board hinted at the first meeting of the new board that they would exercise leverage over Disney, such as prohibiting COVID-19 restrictions at Disney World. But legal experts have said that the new board’s authority has no control over Disney content.

It’s a win-win. Disney generates revenue from events and the state collects sales taxes on that revenue.
