DGO's New Unthread!

your welcome :rose: -we had a long Wknd. so I wasnt on Lit. but stopping in now to say Hi:)

I remember those days. Now all of my weekends are long. Right now we're dealing with severe weather, but that's normal for this part of the country. I took my laptop and phone and sat in the bathroom until it quieted down a bit.

I can't see them from here. I'm not even sure there are any tonight. When my son was young, we lived in a high rise that had a sun deck on the roof. We'd go up there and could see all the way down to the Arch!

I taught summer school in 1993. Part of the draw for students attending summer school are the field trips. This summer was a bust. The area was experiencing the worst flooding in decades. Visits to the police department and fire department were cancelled. First responders were too busy. No one could go to the Arch or the Riverfront. Any trip near the River Des Peres was out. The district was being pro-active. Children who lived in flooded areas were now living in shelters and weren't able to attend school. Teachers were scrambling to find other places of interest. Fortunately, that wasn't a problem in a city where most attractions were free. Still everyone missed going to the Arch!
