I don't think we've fully thrashed out this question of love as an emotion rather than as a force that motivates actions. What do you think?
Yes. But then I have also learned that sometimes the way I see someone else can say a lot more about me than about the other person. As a result, I've learned to reflect on what I think of other people before I make final judgments about them.DLL said:Yank i am not qualified to comment on such things.....want to talk about baseball, lacrosse, hockey then look me up.... I will leave that topic for the other DL posters....I try not to anaylize my feelings about love its something that is....thats all....and the people that I am close to know I love them ..
what I would like to dicuss is have you ever thought someone was a cool person but later found out they were totally fucked up???

Please don't misunderstand my post. I did not mean to imply that I sit in judgment of others. It's just that I reflect on my own responses to someone's behavior before I form my opinion about that person.~Dream~ said:LOL or even sometimes the person REALLY WAS way fucked up and we looked at them thru 'rose -colored glasses' so to speak...
I think only when we judge others is when we are truly being Wrong because who DOESNt have any skeletons in their backyard is what I wanna know??We find flaws easily sometimes cause there are those same flaws within ourselves..

~Appearance does matter in some instances, however is hollow. Making a judement and being judgemental are so different in my mind.DLL said:well i think all people judge others despite what they might think....for example..2 women go to a job to interview for the same position...one is dressed beautifully ..prada bag matching shoes hair and makeup and figure just perfect... college grad...the other dressed plainer a bit overweight and college grad....guess who would get the job???
Trump said it best .... appearance means everything
I think its about knowing yourself. I don't mean to sound trite, but the phrase "An unexamined life.....".midwestyankee said:Yes. I can look at someone's actions and not pass judgement on them but can say, "that's not a behavior for me". I will not offend them by saying they can't do that, rather its just not something for me. For instance, I do not want to ride a roller coaster, but someone else does...... its not a matter of judgement that they are perhaps more fearless than me, its just an action I'd rather not take.
I'm not sure I'm making any sense anymore.![]()

So would you like to attempt to explain to me what I said!! lol~Dream~ said:** making 'PERFECT' sense to me...![]()
