This thread will serve as a discussion place and reference point for the upcoming SRP thread "Death of a Rock God". This thread will contain numerous spoilers for the actual SRP thread, so if you want to read the story as it is written, read no further here!

"Death of a Rock God" is closed for myself and CarmellaDamon.

The general idea is that an up and coming rock n roll guitar god falls into a relationship with a pair of bisexual women. Lots of sex, drugs, and rock n roll, and the guitar god winds up dead.

The first part of the story will be the examination of the death scene. What looks like an overdose soon proves to be murder. The list of suspects includes both his girlfriends, his agent, bandmates, a crazy groupie, and any other possibilities we can come up with.

The second part of the thread rewinds a few months, to the start of the menage-a-trois relationship, and continues through his rise to the top, chronicling his relationships with all the possible suspects, in as dramatic a fashion as possible. This culminates with him going into the hotel room where he eventually gets killed.

The third part of the thread is devoted to the detective putting it all together and trying to crack the case.



Rock God: Mikey McKay, 29 years old, lead guitarist of the band "The Guardians". The Guardians have signed on with major label ALO Records and are finishing up their first major label album, and are about to start their first coast-to-coast tour.

Camilla Hernandez 27 years old. She is auditioning for a spot as a backup singer/dancer with the band.

Tiffany Daniels, 20 years old. Unpaid intern at the recording studio where the Guardians cut their first major label record.

Camilla and Tiffany are the two women in the menage-a-trois relationship with Mikey.

Jenn, 25, Mikey's ex-girlfriend and little sister of the band's drummer, John. She is still crazy about Mikey and is convinced that all his songs are about her. They broke up just before the band signed on with ALO Records.

Allison, psycho groupie who has been obsessed with the band-and Mikey-ever since she got him drunk and slept with him one night way back when they were still playing dive bars.

Chapter 1. The Guardians sign on for major-label record deal with ALO Records. Mikey meets Tiffany at the recording studio and works his charm on her, bedding her the first night out after a long day in the studio.

Ok, they haven't met each other but we can still go with the back story.

Camilla Hernandez: A second generation Cuban immigrant. 27 years old. Has a checkered past due to the fact that she was kicked out of her college sorority due to fighting. The other girls in the house didn't like that she regularly had sex with women. It was a no-no in that area.

I'm thinking a combination of these two, looks wise.

Tiffany Daniels: She's 20 years old and is still getting used to her urges. She lived a very sheltered life and had never even thought about another woman until college. She is very impressionable and gullible. Just wants to please and help anybody she can.

Something like that looks wise.

They have never met before they both fell for Mickey.
 
 
I was leaning towards more "real" women rather than ones with porn star or model good looks. But if anybody can get someone with those types of looks its a hot new rock star.

I'll choose after some more consideration.

I'm not sure how they get together. Maybe auditions for dancers for the tour or a music video. They could meet at a show. The possibilities are almost endless, despite the fact I only thought of 2. But I would think it would start sex first, relationship second. If Behind the music is any guide, lol.
 
For Tiffany, I like the first picture. I'm still working on Camilla. I had another thing to consider. Both women are bisexual but do they have sex on their own, just brought together by fate or (and I like this one myself) asked by Mikey so he can watch. They then start to enjoy each other outside of his company.
 
I think maybe there should, at the start, be a bit of a competitive thing going on between the two women, each vying for Mikey's attention, and the lesbian action springs from that. It could also be a natural continuation of things that happen in bed with the three of them, after Mikey leaves to go to the studio or put on a show or whatever.
 
A couple more thoughts on bringing them into the fold.

Camilla is trying out for a spot as a stage dancer/back-up singer.

Tiffany is an intern at the recording studio and gets caught up in all the excitement.
 
I like both of your suggestions for how they meet. lets go with those. How they become more bisexual is a good idea also. So what about the other suspects. Bandmates can become jealous of his success, feel that they are left behind. What about the others?

The Mob? (maybe he borrowed a lot of money along the way? Or they supply his drugs)

Well, I'll take care of obsessed groupie and crazy ex-girlfriend if you want to do the male ones. How many are we looking at? Is there a number you have in mind?
 
I don't have a specific number in mind. I'm sure we'll reach critical mass pretty quickly here, but that's okay.

Maybe the ex girlfriend is a bandmate's sister?

Hehe, the fun part will be getting all the players in bed with each other!
 
That it will, I'm very visual so I'm looking for pictures for the groupie and ex...once again due you want a particular style? I've noticed the rock god's style so I'll try to find something there. Maybe the ex is left behind when he gets famous and feels she is entitled to some of his success and money. The groupie maybe gets jealous when he stops sleeping with her because he has not one but two steady gfs.
 
 
Wow, those guys are all quite ripped! I'm not sure any of them really fall into what i was thinking, tho the first could probably work for the drummer? Maybe the last one could be the agent.

Regardless, i need to come up with some names for all these people!
 
So what are you looking for for Mickey. I was imagining the agent as quite a sleazy guy rather than a male model. lol
 
The actual plotline itself would be next. With this many characters, the only way to keep track of things is to have it all figured out ahead of time. Certainly, things can change as we are writing. Everything is open for revision at any point during the process. But i want a scene by scene idea of this story before we start fucking i mean writing.

Oh, and we probably ought to decide who the killer actually is.
 
I would leave that up to you, it will not matter too much to me as most if not all of the main characters will have a motive. So are we going to take it part by part I presume? And leave the other characters, detective, minor witnesses (hotel clerk), etc. etc. for later.
 
Hmm... Honestly i'm not sure who it should be! We can figure that out later, i suppose.

Let's start with the Guardians getting the record deal.
 
This is where Mikey will meet Tiffany. During his frequencies to the record label. Is he already broken up with Jenn or does that come later? And is Allison going to already be a groupie or maybe they first meet at the beginning of their tour?
