A majority of self-identified leftists think political assassination is a societal good

Leftists have perpetrated the assassination attempts on American Presidents in the last 100 years.

A quick search:
The Black Panthers: The party’s 10-Point Program, which outlined their demands, contained elements that echoed communist ideals, such as the desire for economic equality and the redistribution of wealth. The Panthers were also influenced by other socialist movements and did, at various points, express solidarity with the Global Communist Movement.
The Panthers never attempted any political assassinations. What have they got to do with this?

Reagan was shot by a nutcase who only wanted to impress a Hollywood actress.

No matter who is president, what his politics are, or whether he is popular or unpopular, there will always be somebody who wants to kill him.
By a Democrat from a Democrat family.

That doesn't matter, no more than the (unspecified) party of the candidate Palantine in Taxi Driver mattered to the plot.
I can see you standing before your mirror, in the manner of the Taxi Driver, talking tough and threatening your imaginary Lit enemies. LOL.

I can see you actually taking the next step and going to a candidate's rally with a concealed weapon.

That scene obviously made an impression on you. Is that your fantasy aspiration?

I want to go on record (for the trump spooks) that I am totally against assassination but respect the view of others with better aim.
sincerely,

Ask AlexBailey

Alex Bailey didn't seem interested in economics. I don't remember hearing anything from their main lines about equal outcomes or anything you could realistically translate as that but not sure how that ties to the original point.

"Equal Outcomes" is a fighting cry for the less intelligent MAGA.

Botany Boy in particular used to use "equal outcomes" interchangeably with "equal opportunity" quite often.

And when I say "quite often" I mean "regularly".

And when I say "regularly" I mean "all the fucking time".

In any case, assassination is no job for amateurs -- not if you want to be sure of results. (Trump is still alive, isn't he?)

And professionals cost money.

The Black Panthers were 2nd amendment activists. They were basically a “Black Lives Matter” movement who used arms to defend citizens against abusive police.

They had balls a pussy like you only dreams of.

Ronald Reagan pushed for gun control measures in response.

Mulford Act. A law that restricted firearm usage that the NRA backed.

As for assassination, I'm sure any of us, of any political stripe, could think of situations where it would improve matters.

And not only in foreign countries, or in times past.
