Dear weather,

Thanks for being so nice and allowing me and my little doggie to have a nice jog/walk around the town.

dear hunters in the field out back,
why are you hunting in my field? do you think you had to start hunting so early? i don't appreciate the coffee that i spilled on me when you scared the hell out of me when you started shooting.

I awoke to the sound of shooting this morning . . . a whole lot of dumb pheasants being shot by a whole lot of dumb men . . .

Dear Special Bug,
I love you more than life itself. Your happiness is all that matters. I know sometimes I struggle to be the man you need me to be. But I will never give up trying. And please, don't give up trying to express who you really are. Find your voice. I will take care of the rest.

Dear Inventor of Chili,

Right around this time of year, when my nose starts to sniffle and I have to wear gloves outside to wipe the snow off my car, I just want to find you and jump on you and have your babies.

I know I'm a guy, but we can figure out the details.

Sincerely,

Cold on the outside, warm on the inside.

Dear Lover,

Dear New Ladyfriend,
It was perfect for a few weeks. You thought I was sexy, I thought about fucking you on a regular basis. And fuck we did, with no real established relationship. You were free to kiss Mr. Hot-Accent and I could flirt all I wanted with "I-don't-know-what-ethnicity-you-are-but-they-got-it-right" girl. We were the true definition of friends with benefits, and the benefits were numerous and awesome. We hungout a lot, talked, joked, cuddled, made out, teased, and fucked. You yourself aren't a naturally clingy person who doesn't like getting lots of emotions involved..... Or at least that's what you told me. I come back at 3am after a night out and you greet me with the statement "I need to know where we stand, like, as us". WTF? We had a convseration about this two days earlier where we were both perfectly happy with the current situation. We are, or I guess, were an open relationship. Essentially, we only flirted or fucked with other people if the other wasn't available. Now you catch me off guard, tired, and using emotional puppy dog eyes to get an answer out of me. HOW AM I TO SAY NO? So now, we're a couple, which I don't mind... sort of. I feel like I got suckered into this. I don't see what happened in those 2 days after 4 weeks of the same thing. Please, explain this to me.

Dear Prolix X,

The Gettysburg Address only had 271 words, lasted no more than three minutes and was written about the nearly forty-five thousand men killed and wounded in the battle. No one died or suffered so much as a paper-cut here.

Give it a rest already.

Genuinely Annoyed and Irritated Beyond My Last Nerve

Dear married and otherwise partnered guys,

I think you are awesome, and I'm glad we get the chance to spend time together. Please thank your wives, and girlfriends for me, for being so generous, and sharing. You are very important to me, and I know I am important to you. I was just wondering if maybe you could set me up with one of your single friends. Although our relationships are very satisfying, and wonderful, it would be great if I had someone to spend a weekend or a holiday with. It might be nice to have a date when I have a special event to attend.

Thanks,

Poly, and Essentially Single

Ps. Your friend needs to be able to share, since I have no intention of ditching you.

Dear Braindead Parents,

Contrary to what you think, having a bicycling experience with children barely beyond being toddlers is dangerous to them, and to other riders.

Dear Brain Dead Super Serious Riders In Gay Looking Tights,

The next time I can hear one of you poster children for AIDS sneaking up behind me without giving a warning, I'll clothesline your pencil-neck ass. *

Dear Tandem Riders On A Narrow Trail,

I'll clothesline your sorry asses too. And it will be easier because your facing me.

*This does not apply to the very cute lady in black tights who did not give warning, but did pause along side of me to wish me Good Morning. :)

Aren't you being a bit "Super Serious" right now? (Though I do know what you mean, bicyclists on my campus are a pain in the ass and think the sidewalk is all theirs.)

LOL! I'm hardly ever serious at all. It's just that this is a heavily populated area and the trails get a lot of use. It doesn't take much for a couple of idiots to make things difficult.

Some poor little kid was off balance on his bike and weaving back and forth, and I swerved just in time to miss him. Good thing I slowed down when I saw that family approaching. And the parents weren't paying attention. That child could have been hurt, or even worse, my bike could have been damaged. :D

There's also a lot of serious cyclists, who by and large are pretty good. I got buzzed by about 5 in a row, and they were moving fast. Calling out a warning that your passing is mandatory, especially as the morning wore on and it got more crowded.

And I didn't even broach the subject of walkers/runners who are in a group and spread out so it's almost impossible to figure out which side to pass. :)

Riding on sidewalks isn't for me. We took a spin into Philadelphia one time, and part of that trail included some sidewalks. I just walked my bike then.

All that occurred near the end of the trip. Despite my rant, it was a great ride yesterday. :)

dear sister of mine,
yes, you heard me right, we are not coming to thanksgiving dinner. can you show me where in the rule book it says that i have to attend thanksgiving dinner? it is a choice that i have made. i am a grown adult and don't need your permission to do what i want to do. I don't need your opinion either. seriously.

not gobbling with you

Dear you know,

You seem to be sad today, you can have some of my jellytots , or even some choccy buttons if you prefer.

Dear County,

Please look at my beloved husband's resume and realize that he would be absolutely perfect for the position he is applying for. We could really use the higher pay, and a county benefits package would be fabulous. Far more important than all that is that we would love for him to have a job in the area where we want to move. He can commute until we are able to move and I would really love it if you would realize that he's exactly what you're looking for.

Thanks,
Fingers Crossed Wife
