No, I mean the new driver's license functions as a passport to get to Canada and Mexico like for the US boarders. They just scan it like they do at traffic stops. That's what they told me and it was $20 more expensive so it better damn well be true. It's called an EDL. And it last for 8 years so they have straight-up guaran-goddamn-teed I'm gonna get caught driving on an expired license because there is no way in hell I'm gonna remember that.

Yeah I forgot about the enhanced license I heard they are getting rid of them here though because not enough people get them.

Well, check now and see if its still good, then in a couple years when somebody bumps this thread, check it again

Don't know why the confusion on having DUI's and getting into countries. You can. I have a DUI and I have been to Japan several times and Canada tons of times. Now, I don't think you can get a work permit for Canada with a DUI, but I'm not sure. I just go there on leisure. As for medications in Japan, well, its their country, they make the rules. My son is on Ritalin and we were ok bringing that in. I recall there was a limit on amount, but it was well over what we wanted to bring in.

Never left the Americas. Do not currently have a passport I have been to Vancouver Canada and to Cancun and Rocky Point Mexico but I haven't been out of the country in probably 25 years.I've got a couch in Ireland and I have another one in the south of France. So I need to get a passport but I sort of like being a non-existent person.I have friends that could ensure my security in Mexico but I'm stil uncomfortable going. My brother the cop is completely fluent and obviously he would make a decent security detail all by himself. He just took his family and our mom down there last week and I probably should have considered tagging along but most of what's available there I can obviously get on this side of the border.Maybe next time I'm in Tucson I'll stray over the border into Nogales

....and yet you delude yourself into thinking your can successfully "pull off" a "pakistani/indian" alt, despite your lack of world travel. That explains why most of your sockpuppet attempts fail so miserably.

I've held a passport since I was 18, visited all of North America, some of the Carribean and most of Europe and England (as opposed to the entire UK). I've never been to Asia but have no real desire to go there. I'm planning on spending this Christmas in the Land Down Under (*waves at Rainshine*). Never been to Hawaii. GF is making noises about wanting to visit India.

I collect Hard Rock Cafe pins from places I've visited, I suspect I've got about 20 from outside the US.

I have a lot of Hard Rock key chains from various countries. I often find myself in a Hard Rock when i have been in another country for a bit and I need to get a good normal American burger. They never disappoint.
I LOVE to travel, but honestly have no desire to see India. I love east Asia though.

So that's why your alts are so good.

How many of you leave the country? For work, vacation, whatever. Where have you been?

I'm a bred and born Alaskan. In addition to traveling all over my state, I've traveled through many of the other states, as well as to 9 Canadian provinces. Otherwise, I've been to Mexico, Greenland, Iceland, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Russia, Nepal, Korea, Japan, England, France, Denmark, Switzerland, Germany, and Columbia.

I am on my third passport. The next trip out of the USA trip will prolly just be to Quebec City, which is a delightful place to visit, IMO. I'll probably go to China, next year.

Trips to Iceland and Ireland are on my to do list. And my daughter told me last night that she wants to go to Norway, so I guess I'll start reading up on places to go and things to do.

Norway is just hundreds of miles of fucking fir trees.

I'll be able to travel again when my 2 cats die.
I have a feeling the little cuntface female is going to live to 20, so in another 12 years I'll be free.
:D

I lived in England serving in the USAF, I got there a month before my 19th birthday. We took the ferry (which was horrible lol) across to Belgium.

Been to Canada many times, it's right across the river.

Looking to see England again, and turn it into seeing Europe..I've traveled a ton, but almost all in the US.

I never understood why Americans' fav. travel destinations are Britain... Cold Northern European Countries... maybe Italy... Northern Europe and Britain again.

I understand people's desire to be closer to their roots, but isn't the ideal destination an exotic (warm) tropical island?

Fuck, I'm not entirely sure I can remember them all.

I had a great time kayaking on the Bua River and an unknown creek ("you don't mind hitting a few rocks?"), did some hiking above timberline in the mountains, and touring along the coast. Plus, there was visiting family and family places, a huge hydraulics lab, rescuing cats, etc.

Screw that. Nothing happens there. When I travel I want cities, people, culture, dining, bars, history, museums and such.

"Going To Europe" (as in W Europe) is travelling with training wheels on. Baby's First Abroad. Both for Americans and Europeans. Lots of interresting stuff to see, but relatively safe and familiar. You don't have to figure out of stuff works on a daily basis and only old frenchmen get insluted if you speak English.

Aaah, indeed culture and art and people.

I haven't been to a concert or opera in over a decade, but I always enjoyed spending time in their central public or university library or the bigger museums
when traveling through a metropolis.
Even if I don't necessarily understand the local art or read their books.
It gives me a certain...cosmopolitan, artsy... feeling.

Never been to Sweden, but I imagine the experience to be a bit like that.

I have traveled to Canada, the UK and Northern Europe for business and pleasure.
I used to travel quite often, though it has lessened quite a bit in the last 10 yrs. My passport is expired, but I am planning on renewing it soon.

Interesting question would be have you experienced medical services in another country and/or have you had a serious relationship with a non American?

I've heard that in England they don't have mosquitoes the size of your fucking head.
