I quit last summer, there was a bill put before our state legislation to tax cig even more. I wrote my reps and asked them, as a smoker, to vote in favor of increasing the tax. A pack cost $8.50 +/-. I quit.

I'm very happy for you, Lynn!!

Congrats on your quitting!! No matter when ya do it...it's hard. My smoking played a hand in a week long stay in the hospital...and even though I lit up before I was out of the parking lot the day I was discharged...I know I HAD to quit. It took from March to the end of November for me to get started tho. And even though I think I'd like one ever now and again...I know I've come too far to turn back. Plus....like you said about the taxes....I couldn't afford to smoke now.

Ms Kendra gave me the title. She's the one who's the Stinker!!!
