Thanks for your help, I checked everything as you said and clicked the "publish." Then I scrolled thru the draft and discovered it had the story listed twice, one copy under the other. Should I just delete the whole thing and re-submit?Under drafts, open up the stories draft, go to the bottom of the page, make certain all of the boxes are checked, and hit Preview & Publish. Once it shows the next screen verify (or whatever it is), and that should do the trick.
You can edit (in this case, cut) in the Preview box. Get rid of the duplicate text, Preview again. If the text is now correct, Publish. Thanks for your help, I checked everything as you said and clicked the "publish." I reckon I'm the confused one. I thought he'd posted the same story twice with the same title. You can edit (in this case, cut) in the Preview box. Get rid of the duplicate text, Preview again. If the text is now correct, Publish.
Yes, I did that once and deleted one of the pending. Then when I went back and read the edited draft I discovered the story was duplicated on the same draft. So, I did cut one of the stories and then clicked on published. Hopefully I got things right.I reckon I'm the confused one. I thought he'd posted the same story twice with the same title.
Thanks, that is exactly what I did before you posted this, but it's reassuring to know I did the right thing. I just checked and it shows 1 draft no pending, is that right? You can edit (in this case, cut) in the Preview box. Get rid of the duplicate text, Preview again. If the text is now correct, Publish.
It sounds like you still need to publish it.Thanks, that is exactly what I did before you posted this, but it's reassuring to know I did the right thing. I just checked and it shows 1 draft no pending, is that right?
Yes, the OP needs to Publish - go back Into the Draft, press Preview again, then Publish. They should then get a "Thanks for your submission" note, and the status will switch to Pending. It sounds like you still need to publish it.
If you have a draft on Word, use "Local version" and start the submission process again, with the whole corrected text copied and pasted in from your computer. When I open the draft, I get this notice: "You started to edit this story previously but did not submit your changes to the server. Do you want to continue with your local version, or load the version saved on the server." It give two choices to click on,"Use local version" or "Load from server."
