New Story Reviews

I'm interested in reviewing new stories. I lost my job about a month ago and discovered that I have a lot of time on my hands. I'd be glad to start as a fill in as needed.

Or why not just do a few until you decide for sure whether you want to take it on permanently?

Hi,

You can review any stories you like. I have to confess to being drawn to reviewing stories that fall in similar categories to the ones I write for, but I am always open to new experiences and some of the best have been in categories I wouldn't normally read.

I take a long time going up and down the list and opening new stories to see whether it's something I'll enjoy.

Amasterfound regrets having not done reviews lately, but has had troubles on the site that she is administering and has not found too many reviews on Sunday worth reviewing of late. She will try to review more when she can.

The lack of quality may be because Sunday has miserable readership, and everybody aims away from it. I know I do. Still got caught this time, though. I never expected them to get a story through the queue in 5 days. I was aiming for Monday or Tuesday, and got relegated to the abyss of Sunday *laugh*

Aiming is hard to do with the turn around for approval being unpredictable. I noticed that Sunday had a huge flock of new stories ( though as thin in depth as Saturday).

You can usually count on at least six days though. I've never had more than two or three out of 57 hit in less than six days.

I'm sure that would be great. In the meantime you could throw in a few guest reviews when you read a new story that you enjoy.

It would be good to know that you're there as a back up if we can't do our day.

Well, it's a rare lucky Sunday where I see one of your stories, but I'll remember to look for them in case it happens again.

Hey Janie Thanks so much for the wonderful review on Key. I wrote these three novels about ten years ago and had them on disks, then the disks were ruined in a fire, so I have been recreating them, though the plot lines are a little different. I really appreciate the review.

janiexx - thank you for your review of my story, His Better Half. It has mostly garnered vitriolic and hateful reviews, which, truth be told, I kind of enjoy! When you get that kind of venom from readers, you KNOW you have touched them! But, it's still nice to read kind words, especially when somebody "gets it" as you have. OMG a writer's worst nightmare!

THIS is why I now use mozy.com (thanks Liar! )

They keep a backup of 2G of your stuff for FREE... it's always there, even if something like that happens!

And I'm sorry that happened to you DK Ugh... what a heartbreak!

I tend to keep numerous backups of everything myself...Some hard copy mostly disk...I recently got a USB drive as another means to store backups...Between two computers, a disk, hard copy and a USB (not to mention lit for some) I hope I'm set...
