Yes but you'll always be brilliant. Have I mentioned my plan to hire you as my tutor so I can finally write a good erotic scene? :D
Now that is something that would definitely have to be done in person...lol. But in truth you don't need my help. I sometimes worry that all my sex scenes are the same.

I do have one coming up where I had a request from a fan for some anal fun. I've only written anal scenes a couple of times, so when that one comes out, I'd love to have it critiqued. (Yes a shameless plug for people to read my work...lol.) It's in my latest series, Ch. 14 I think, of The Taming of a Vixen. Trying to think of what they would use for lube in the 1800s was interesting. I don't think they could run down to their local twenty four hour store.

whispers quietly (DK is almost always in that kind of mood.)

For now...

I have to go, but there are two writers in the list of new stories that I want to read, but can't right now. My "personal pick" so I can be as bias as I want. :D I'll review Danielle's story when I get home from the reunion, if no one else snags it.

and our Reviewer's work - amasterfound also has a new one out I REALLY want to read!

and.....

there may be more out there when I get home.

So I'll be back and look forward to the evening. :) I have enjoyed the morning stories a lot!

I'm curious, is there anyway to find out who has the most posts to the boards? Cuz I think Red here wins...hands down.

Red is actually #10 overall ( you go to Member List and click on the "Posts" column heading to sort by highest # of posts)

Depressed - kinda

Posting here because I hope some of you will understand what I have to say.

Flipped through some of the posts and got to Danielle's list of stories. Here is a lady who has been a member LESS time than I have and has written FAR more than I have in that time. Not only that, but virtually every story she has written has an H and she even has an E beside it [ I am assuming that is an Editor's choice or somesuch ? ] How the heck do some folks write so fast and so well? *S*

I dunno why, but it has brought me down. Jealous? Perhaps, but I don't know. I try to do my best, I have had stuff published and I have people that like my work. And of course, there are better writers than I. But you know, I will never understand what makes a story click with readers. I've had some I liked very much flop, some I thought were really great tanked. Although I've noticed stories I wrote a while back NOW have H's, which I didn't know could happen.

Perhaps it is just a sense of melancholy, who knows. I have no intentions of not writing, but somedays, wish I could figure out what clicks in the minds of others.

Thanks Red for the review. yes i know I was going to get slammed for this story. That is one reason why it sat on my computer for several months until I had forgotten about it. When I had first wrote it I had every intention for him to pay for it, but when I went back found the story fixed the problems I found and put a real ending to it. i just couldn't. It just didn't seem like that is what she would really do. As you said most never do. I have learned never to force a story to go somewhere that itis not ment to go. I admit that I needed to feelings, but to be hoset by the time I got that far into I was having a hard time writing it and just wanted to give it an end. This is by far one of the more violent stories for me. Well out side out doretta's mistake and one that I am trying to write now that is a revenge story. Thank you for the review.

Brett ~

Sorry you are feeling down. I would do my best not to compare your output with others. Everyone is different - Thank God for that!!!

You work at a pace that is best for you.

My husband the first year of marriage tried to copy his father and have a new house the first year we were married, new cars. . .etc. . .I didn't know he was trying to accomplish this until he confessed it to me. I had to tell him, after we were $90,000 in debt and going through bankruptcy, You aren't Your father!

You are you and your work is liked by you.

I can't get into a reader's head and sometimes, I don't think I want to be in them, mine is bad enough.

Just enjoy what you do and keep doing it. There are so many readers, you aren't going to get them all. :rose:

You're welcome. It was a powerful write!

Danielle is just plain talented, and dedicated to her craft. I was actually sitting here thinking something similar earlier, amazed at the volume of quality work she turns out, and a little irritated that I can't summon up the muse to even finish a final chapter that has been sitting, near crystal clear, in my head for a couple of months now.

I'm also irritated that I can't find enough time to keep up with everything she posts *laugh* I do love Danielle's work.

Nothing to be depressed by, though, just something to aspire to. You just have to find the dedication to write every day. I'm not sure I'll ever be able to do that myself, but I can always work toward it.

Don't count everyone coming in with large bodies of work quickly as churning it out since their join date. A full sixteen chapters of my core story were already written before I signed up, and I only edited them before posting. That's around 100 Lit pages, 320,000 some odd words, already in the can before I posted the first word here - about half of my total work here and elsewhere that I have posted.

Objects in mirror may be larger than they appear *laugh* :D

More from Me

I do write practically every day and have posted [ to date ] 118 stories. And yes, I do understand that some writers are better than others. Just wish I could have a track record like that.

Not that people don't like my work, but to have that kind of track record - but as someone pointed out on another thread, Danielle does tend to write in more than one genre than any other, which is one I rarely use. In the genre I specialize in most often, I seem to have my core fans, I suppose.

I have noted though that some of the writers I liked out here were quite prolific for a while and dropped off, so who knows what happens?

I can only be true to me, for the most part.

Hey Brett...nice going, you had me running to my story page thinking...I got an E? When the hell did that happen?

One thing I have going for me in a strange sense of the word is that I'm handicapped right now and incapable of working outside the house. And it's either I sit and write or eat myself into a new dress size. The writing is easier on my food budget. I write six to eight hours a day usually and have dedicated myself to getting good enough to be published one of these days. So people who work and actually have lives...well it's easy for me to put out what I do cuz I don't have that.

Now that school is in and I don't have my kid sister in my hair, I can put a lot of time into my work, even though I have to run my mother around. So don't feel bad, not about me anyway. Sometimes I'd rather have a life...sigh. :rose:   :p

Daniellekitten’s The Taming of a Vixen Ch. 11 - Romance.

I have had a chance to read a few chapters of this and have enjoyed them all. I know Danielle is a talented writer and sometimes I think she underestimates her talent, but it is obviously there! This chapter deals with the wedding of our Hero and Heroine. . .and a confession from not only one woman. . .but two!!

Another excellent read to an excellent story from an excellent writer. If you are into romance. . .you’ll like this one.

Aww, thanks Red. I just decided to make you Queen for a day. Pssst....the check is in the mail.

Writing

I dunno DANIELLE - I am also retired and have lots of time to write, but I can't write all day. I find I only have the urge so often, so perhaps that is where we differ. And yes, you have two W's, not E's, as I had previously stated.

I have written all my life, but perhaps it is like my brother, who was a natural athlete, that writing comes naturally to you. It must, as you sure seem to be hitting a lot of homers.

Good luck.

Oh, you mean my W's. I've won one holiday contest and one monthly contest. No E's. Those are for talented individuals like Red who can come up with such wonderful stories.

I've been reading since I was little and read voraciously. I also love movies. I love figuring out plotlines and dialogue. And it keeps me from going stark raving bonkers around my house when there's no one here but me and the pooches and I don't feel good enough to go anywhere.

I say it's all boredom that keeps me writing. And trust me, I have my failures and the people who hate my work. I get trolled often and well and have been told I should sell my computer and go back to the kitchen (ain't it funny how some of the stupidest comments stick with you?). I have my heroes whose stories I can't get enough of and I sit back and wonder how they do it, then go and look at my own stuff and get disgusted.

But I know what you mean. After the past few days and the emails I have gotten, I've lost all desire to write. I didn't even work a half an hour today. It isn't fun right now at all. Today, I put together a puzzle.

:rose: You are welcome. :) *looks for crown and the great staff. . .* Or is that shaft?

Writing

I haven't written much in the last few days either, but mine is exhaustion. I did add a few lines to a personal story I am working on, one I think will go over very well, because I am being meticulous with it.

I read much less than I write out here, because I do find it either discouraging when others blow me out of the water or ANNOYING when I see such disregard for simple rules of punktewashun and grammur.... ewe no?

I have been reading and writing more years than you've been alive darlin', trust me. But I can console myself that I HAVE been published, over 40 times and counting.

Ohh yeah. . .it's fear I'm feeling when I'm holding it. ;) Thanks for reminding me. . . :p

You never know what is going to go over either. I'm still busy being stunned by the response to something I posted elsewhere ( still in the queue here ) that I only mused over a little as a break from full-scale visualization of my core story ending, and slapped down on "paper" over the course of a broken two hours or so all together.

I felt it was good, perhaps even better n' the average of my work, but the response has been orders of magnitude above what I expected.

It will be interesting to see how it goes over here in a little less than a week. My money is on a troll assault of biblical proportions *laugh*

Are you talking about that story I reviewed at the other website?
