cock rings

My boyfriend and I have been together for a little while now (4 months) and so I was ready to start experimenting a little in the bedroom. :) I had never used a cock ring with anyone before, and was really, really interested in using it.
So I bought one, and gave it to him that evening. I got one that adjusts for size, but still has a snap so it can just be pulled off and not slid off the end. I figured I would give it to him, let him hold on to it a little bit so he could get more comfortable with the idea, and then bring up using it together.
I was pretty excited to discover the very next day that he used it himself that very night. We are roommates, and while he was at work, I had to go in his room for something, and I noticed the empty box was in the trash, and his favorite lube was not where it had previously been. :) I asked him if he used it and if he liked it, he said yes, and the conversation kind of fizzled out there.
So of course the next step would be to use it together right? Well, now we have a little issue.
Very shortly after, because of unrelated events, we have decided to start using condoms. So my question now is, can we still use it even if he has a condom on? This may be weird, but it seems like when we use condoms, things are a little messier, so will that be a hinderance as well?
So I guess I'm looking for some advice for any one who has used one with a condom, and also maybe some tips for some post sex clean up and care.
Any advice is appreciated!

Yes, you can use them with a condom. Just make sure both are put on properly etc...

As for clean up. just don't stress.. it is a natural thing anyway, so just deal with it when you need to. Sheets and clothes and body parts can always be washed ;)

Just to clarify, you should put the condom on first, then put the cockring over the condom.

How does the condom make it messier? Is he not pulling out and taking it off while he's still hard, or something? I guess it's hard for me to imagine why it'd be more messy because we've always found them to make it a lot less messy, given the fact that there's less slippery stuff inside me to come out when we're done.

Good call on the condoms, though - 4 months does not a stable relationship make, and given the prevalence of STDs and cheating, it's really the only smart way to go. :)

Wow, those were quick answers!

Anyway, I like how there are people that have done this and can tell me it will work!
But I also wanted to clarify a little on my OP.

With me, I am like a freakin' fountain down there! I've got a whole lot of juices going on, and it seems like with the condoms, maybe for lack of a better word, there is no "skin absorbtion". Actually, a few years ago, I read a post on here talking about insteads, so he loves it when I'm on my period because there is less mess! (it makes me dry up just a little)

I also wanted to go a little more in detail about the condoms. I'm aware that it's always a safe bet, of course, but the whole reason behind that was just because I've gone off of my birth control. Several reasons behind that one, but we sat down and discussed it, and decided we would use condoms rather than me go back on the pill.

So, I guess my next step is to suggest the two of us using it! :) I really appreciate the advice, so please, keep it coming, and I promise as soon as we do, I'll be here to let everyone know how it went!! :)

Me and my girlfriend have one and I can assure the souls reading this thread that is something extremely pleasurable to both.

But I must make a note first: you are referring to those rings designed to adjust to penis and help maintain the erection while it provides extra stimulation to you, correct?

You have not mentioned the material which the ring was crafted from. Is it metallic, wooden, plastic or silicon rubber?

These rings normally don't get in the way when condoms are used, but extra attention is needed if the ring is made in a hard material - latex and metal tend not to get along very well - as it may cut the rubber.

The "messier" comment.

Back home, we can relate to that. My girlfriend tends to produce more natural lubrification when a condom is used and it tends to be more liquid (bed stains are common and it's even more common to get to see me trying eagerly to get the bedsheets even more stained after the first one is maid). If this is somewhat like what you are experiencing, I would advise the use of a hand towel. Something in the line of I what I usually get to ear:

- Stop! (my adored one)
[reach for towel, dry a little down below, puts towel back]
- Get over here and...!

UPS!!! Sorry; got carried away!
