Things Clinton would have done better than The Shrub man:

Addressing the American people. The man didn't need a script.

Giving the appearance of action instead of all this waiting around.

Wasn't he in NYC before Shrub arrived?

Clinton was a people person... and that's what we've needed some of the past couple weeks. Bush appears to have no capacity for emotion... either that, or he thinks showing emotion=showing weakness... and that's a scary thought

He simply cannot argue a case before the Supreme Court. Big whoop! How many attorneys really argue a case before the Supreme Court?

I really don't think that's the point. It's extremely embarrasing and in my opinion damages his credibility.

Clinton v. Bush

You know Bush's speech that everyone was impressed with before Congress? Just imagine what Clinton would have done under those circumstances.

I guess the terrorists missed his speeches from the first world trade bombing and the Cole attack. They were both excellent.

Clinton would have been fine -

He would've done pretty much the same stuff, with less hysterical talk of attacking Iraq, and he would have had a deeper, more solid base of international support because he wouldn't have spent his previous 6 months telling the world that he didn't give a fuck what they thought. He might not be trying to secure a legal right to secretly search whatever they want in ANY federal investigation, but I can't be certain of that. In any event, Bush is doing ok, so far.

Clinton clearly had a serious effort poised to grab or kill bin Laden since the Cruise attacks, which are said to have missed by an hour or two. The effort failed. No one with a brain thinks this is going to be easy. People who try to blame Clinton for the attacks are recycling old drool.
