"Talent" is a combination of technical skills (much of which is "tricks" of the trade and practice...some motor skill..and hands DO help) and Imagination. I think you have the imagination...just need the training.

I've often told subordinates that I could train them for the positions in which I was instructing them regardlesss of their inherent aptitude, so long as they were willing to put in the time and effort. In this case, however, I suspect that there is not enough time in the world. Even my stick-men look deformed. My handwriting is perfectly dreadful.

Fortunately, I have ample skills in the admiring-the-handiwork-of-others sphere.

Then I took a class in Right-Brained drawing. It was a wonder. If you can find such a class through your local college extension, give it a try. In my case it worked out so well that I ended up with an MA in art.
