Can the sub be bigger than the dom?

Hey, sort of an odd question, but do you think it's weird if the sub is bigger than the dom?

I have always been curious about being submissive, but I've always wondered if I would actually feel dominated by someone smaller than me. I'm a 6', 250 lb, decently muscley guy (this isn't a personal ad, just setting the scene), so it's unlikely I'll find someone (particularly a woman) bigger than me to dominate me. I find it hard to imagine feeling dominated by someone that I could probably actually dominate if it came down to a physical strength contest. Is it possible to feel dominated by someone smaller than you?

Of Course a small person can dominate a large one. As Rule of thumb men are larger than women and there are a large number of dominant women out there. It is not only about physical strength, one of the most dominant women I have ever met was a birdlike little creature of 4'11" and she could cow a strapping 6 foot lad with a glance.size has nothing to do with it

As a woman, I LOVE when a man has physical strength over me; it's a definite bonus and something I simply find attractive in a partner.

That being said, where D/s truly lives, is within Your mind! *S*

So, if a Dom/me is confident, strict, forceful and mentally strong - it won't really make a difference what their height, weight is, etc., He/She will exude power from within.

If I remember correctly, Shadowsdream (former poster to the forums) was a elegant, petite woman with a very commanding presence, as was Ebonyfire (another former poster)... Given that I'm roughly 6' in heels, and identify as submissive, I'm going to come down on the side of no - height/size doesn't matter re: submission. lol

I know quite a few Dommes who feel like it's kind of an ego boost to top a bottom who is bigger than they are. Never discussed it with any m-Doms, but I've met my share of those couples where the D is shorter/smaller.

I'm a larger guy... 6'1", maybe 240 lbs. The woman's size has never even been something I've thought of.

She is dominant to me, because she desires to be, and I desire her to be. It's a power exchange.

I run 60 miles a week, and lift 3 days a week. I don't know what I could bench, but in my workouts I bench 180ish at the top rep.

So... If it were about who could win in a physical confrontation, mostly I would win - but it's not a physical confrontation. It's mostly a mental thing.

Oh most definitely!!! My basis for this opinion is my 5' less mother who's not even the domineering type...but my goodness she can be...intimidating.

It's not about size.

It's about PRESENCE.

And little people with big presences are kinda scary. like...EXTRA scary... *hides*

Come to think of it, my boyfriend's grandmother is rather scary as well. She's a small round terror O.O

My current plaything (yes, she's a sub to me, but she's never been a sub to anyone else) used to be a pro domme. She claims to be five feet tall, and she isn't exaggerating much. Yes, small women - with enough force of character - can dominate large men.

Coming from a long line of Dominant women, whose body heights hover around the 5' 1" - 5' 21/2" maximum....I have no trouble at all Dominating a taller man, I prefer my subs to be taller, broader than I am.

As the saying goes, " The bigger they are, the harder they fall".

In a word, yes. Despite being about 5'8, I'm actually quite short compared to most of the male dominant folk of my acquaintance. Do I have any trouble? Fuck no. The taller the subs are, the more of them there is to hit.

I'm taller and bigger than my Dom. No issue.

I went out with a guy who was 8" taller as well as bigger than me and the thought of him dominating me would make both of us laugh. Just wasn't in him so he wouldn't offer a power exchange and I wouldn't have accepted it.

Definitely not a size issue.

For that matter, Subway and other sandwich chains regularly advertise a 6-foot sub. That's five inches longer than I am.
