Calling out fakes?

I got called out a couple years ago on a picture forum....the female poster commented "what gay porn site did you steal your pics from". It really did bother me. Not the gay part which I actually found funny...did she mean all gay men are decent looking? Rather I got angry because the very first thing she bothered to type was that. She could of chatted with me for a bit, or privately pm'd me...but she decided that she was the forum police. I asked in open forum if they would like me to take a pic with something commonly found around a household. She chose a soda bottle or milk jug...I quickly did it to quell her stupidity. Then suddenly I realized I was the stupid one for even allowing her to get to me.

It is only the internet after all -John

-and really how low self-esteem must you really have, if you send out pics of another person???

Two words:Water Mark!

Just watermark your shit. A few months ago I posted a picture in the PG ( I never claimed ownership and I got it from a different website with a bunch of random pics) Within minutes I received PMs and responses about how the pic belonged to someone on the amateur pic thread. I honestly thought it was just some MM pic but I immediately removed it. I felt bad because I could not track the site since I was doing a site mirroring.

Think about that before you post pics in the AM pic thread.

Well

When i started my thread We got called out as fakes. It bothered me but i let it go. It was only one person and we had a few thousand views by then. We got a few more people questioning us so i posted some pictures holding a sign with our thread name and username. Then we got called out again and that was not enough proof. Its kind of upsetting. I see threads on here that are larger then mine and have way more views that have been busted many times but they just keep posting and keep the lie going. I won't call anyone out unless the are posting pictures of someone that i know.

Me and hubby have been reading Lit stories for years but haven't joined in 'til now (waiting for our first story to be edited!!!!). Now that we have, we discovered the forums (oh, if we only knew before!!!), and the AM Pic board.

So I've been looking at it the whole day: there are some really sexy hunks and ladies on Lit! But I also found some threads that are obviously fake. Eg., there's one going on right now with 100+ replies where the guy (I'm assuming) who's pretending to be the woman in the pics didn't even bother to do his photoshopping right. I mean, it's so obvious, but nobody's saying a thing, they're just replying how awesome and beautiful "she" is!!

So, since I'm new here, let me ask - is there some unwritten rule about keeping a blind eye to those things? Should I say something? Do guys here care if there's a real woman on the other side? The real guys and girls who post their pics, doesn't this make you angry?

You sort out the wheat from the chaff.

With all social networking sites and such, there will be an occasional fake, some people just take joy in trolling, and lurking behind a fake image may help them get their kicks.

Such strange people...

I've had a couple of threads on ampics and honestly, I never gave a fuck -nor do I now- about people posting fake pics -unless they're mine, something that has never happened : D-.

Of course we all play a character here, so did I with my pics, but adding some atrezzo or looking for your best angle has nothing to do with saying that you are someone who you're not.

What really annoys me is the little love some people show to photography and detail.. let's be honest.. i'm not a professional, i just enjoy taking pics -nude and non-nude ones- but leaving aside some exceptions, you can find rather crappy pics here, with dirty backgrounds, ugly close ups of ugly spread cunts and so on, which i fully dislike.

Just in case, this has nothing to do with body shapes or quality of the camera - I find curvy women much more photogenic and cellphone or cam pics very spontaneus and attractive- but even if I believe everybody has something beautiful to show and I love amateurism, damn, you don't just click and submit! You click, click, click and sometimes you don't submit a fuck because the pics you've got are not worth it! You have to be your first filter.

And, running the risk of being called conceited, this is my rant and luckily for you, it's finally over : D

Welcome to lit! :rose:

I'm with you there. Body shape and camera quality are never complaints of mine. Dirty mirrors, messy backgrounds, and such are my issue, too. Take five minutes and either clean up the scenery or photoshop it out. It makes for a much nicer photograph! Also, people need to learn how to use the self-timer on their cameras!

ANYWAY

I don't call out fakes, but they do bother me. What irks me more are the threads I've seen that link out to pay-sites. Really? Fine if you have your own pay-site, but I don't look through Lit's AmPics wanting to see a link out. I'd rather see mom and pop or something people do for the pleasure of others and themselves. If I wanted pay-erotica, I'd easily find it elsewhere.

Also, people posting others' photographs without the necessary permission are just asking for a lawsuit! When I post my photographs, I do so knowing that if they cost me public shame, a job, or whatever, it's MY fault. I'm in control of their distribution, as in I chose what site(s) and/or people receive them. Not receiving permission can cause people to lose their jobs, public respect, et cetera, and that is totally wrong! I don't mind my photos being on Lit and downloaded to your computers. Some of my friends and colleagues and their friends have copies of my photos in their own possession, but if someone re-posted the photos elsewhere, especially for a profit, I would be beyond livid! There would also be legal ramifications. Unfortunately it is hard to crack down on fake threads without catching some not-so-fake threads in there, too. I suppose I'd rather let a guilty man go free than put any innocents in prison.

This topic was SO about Naked Girl. LMAO. TOLD YA SO. Every single one of you doubters can eat me, and you all know who you are. Keep hiding.

Caught me---- I took the pic but the gorilla resides at the philly zoo. It's not me :-(

I don't call out fakes nor do they bother me I give everyone the benefit of a doubt. If the pictures are fake I can see how it would bother the owner and or person in the picture but, once someone posts something on line a picture, a bit of writing or whatever, they have opened themselves up to having it being copies and plagiarized.... It's a shame kind of thing happens but, it does and does anyone really think calling someone out is going to change anything?

If you call someone out and really happens to be their picture you have made an ass out of yourself. And if people weren't too ashamed to "Steal" the picture in the first place, do you really think they will be ashamed about it if you call them out? I don't think so....

As a secondary thought its exceedingly difficult to "prove" the picture was plagiarized. Prime example I know several members who post on here and on "porn sites" as well.
