Just had a question...

I recently purchased a small 4.5 inch Butt Plug and have been using it. For the first three inches, it's very pleasurable. Afterwards, I have some discomfort....

I have no pain, just a discomfort on my right side. The discomfort seems to be near my appendix.

Using this Butt Plug has been my first anal exploration and I kind of rushed it, so I don't know if I'm doing it wrong or what. I'm just trying to find out if I'm doing it wrong or if it's normal to feel discomfort the first 2 or 3 times

I would suggest this is pretty normal. Things aren't 'supposed' to be going up there. In that case you would have to work through it. Maybe you could revert back to using fingers etc and introduce it slowly and properly?

However, have you had any other sort of pain, constipation, bleeding? When my dad had colon cancer he had all three of these symptoms and when the doctor performed an internal examination he found a tumour about 4 inches in. DON'T PANIC! This is very much a last resort sort of suggestion, but keep an eye out for symptoms if you feel that the uncomfortableness shouldn't be there. If there is anything you're a little worried about then get a doctor involved straight away.

Also, bear in mind the need for hygene when playing with the anus - in particular sterilise all equipment after use and use a condom when sharing.

*Awaits more useful replies* :rose:

Excuse me for being a dumbass...BUT.

What's the matter with enjoying the first 3 inches that you say is very pleasurable and forgetting the rest?

Is there some need you have to push the "envelope" so to speak?

Honestly, if I was (for the sake of example) touching my hand to a hot stove burner and it hurt, my inclination would be NOT to continue doing that. I doubt that I'd have to write in to the "kitchen wizards" bulletin board to ask the question of what I should do.

Dude. Use your brain. Pardon me if I'm in the wrong here, but honestly, the answer seems pretty obvious to me.

I think the problem with using just the first 3 inches might be that he can't put it in and leave it there, hands-free, while he does other stuff. That's what butt plugs are designed for.

I agree with elib - go get yourself checked out. My husband has a similar pain with longer plugs/toys and other activities; in his case it's indeed a recurring hernia. He had it repaired when he was little, but it failed, and though he's had the pain for years, he needs to get it fixed rather than risking bowel incarceration and death. It was a simple exam to diagnose it, and it's going to be basically a pain-free procedure and recovery.

You just don't want to mess with hernias, prostate problems, cancer, etc., so have it looked at asap.

Meanwhile, they do have 3" plugs and toys.

Good point SweetErika...maybe I AM a dickhead.
Where's this coming from?

I don't believe I said, or even thought, anything of the sort.

I was simply proposing an answer to why someone might not want to only use the first few inches of a plug.

Hahahahaha...I'm sorry SweetErika...just a misunderstanding.

I said in my original comment that I could be wrong...
Then you proposed a very logical reason why that was happening with the buttplug insertion issue.
Then I came back to say that evidently I was wrong.
That was it. You didn't say anything at all that was offensive. I did. I was just saying that I was evidently being an a-hole by virtue of my initial comment.

Sorry for the confusion.

butt plugs

The first plug I bought was a med size one. Since then I have upgraded to a bit larger one.

I have never experienced any pain. The only discomfort I have felt was:

1) either (sorry to get disgusting) when I wasn't as clean as I thought I was or
2) something that a little more lube or time took care of.

Everyone who has used anal toys will always tell you to make sure you are relaxed and use plenty of lube. Once the discomfort passed it is an amazing sensation. I think most men enjoy the fullness of a plug. This is best when it is inserted for an extended period of time.

this is my toy. I would NOT recommend it unless you've been used to anal toys. This toy is definitely not for a beginner but once you are able to play with this toy. it is by far the best toy I have ever owned.

I agree with Erika (as usual) when she says to see a doctor. Talking from experience if my sensation was anything other then the two I just mentioned, I would be on the phone with a doctor in a second. Explaining what i was doing there, well thats another story.

Good luck!
