Buffy: Countdown to the Apocalypse

Ok, Rasta, since Eagle hasn't mentioned it, I will. The series is over, WHO ARE YOU??!! :D

You know, when I first found out that the series finale was going to only be one hour long, I figured that I ould feel cheated in the end. I WAS RIGHT!!! That had to be one of te lamest series finales I have ever seen!!! Where was the epic battle???? Where was the sense of closure?????? It should have been two hours long.

I used to watch the show before....before....and I was compelled to watch this episode and....I'm not going to share my opinion except that whoever writes Faith's lines should be shot.

Faith's lines (her starting to pull down her pants in front of principal Wood) and some of Willow's and Xander's had me in stitches (There's a party in my eyesocket and everyone's invited). Those were some of the few moments I enjoyed in the show.

I don't know, I felt it (and the last five or six episodoes of Buffy in general) were sort of...empty. The sense of drama and tension have just been missing from this season- large spaces that could have been used for character development were used up with meaningless filler (a.k.a. long boring pep talks).

I saw Spike's death coming from the beginning of the season, and yet I still feel he got the short shrift. That thing in the beginning with Angel was stupid:

"Oh, Buffy, I have a soul, I should wear the medallion-thingy and sacrifice myself!"
"No, Angel, you have a show to be the center of, let's give it to Spike instead...he's pretty worthless."

Ugh.

I just wanna say i havent seen the show yet, i havent read any of the posts on the thread...i was called into work by my evil boss today, and my sister was good enough to tape it for me, so i'm gonna watch it tomorrow morning when i ge the tape. god i know what happens...but i cant wait to see it...

I thought the best part was when Buffy, Willow, Xander & Giles are standing in the hall discussing what to do afterwards. It was very remenicent of the first couple seasons, when things were lighter. It brought you back to the beginning so you could see that they had changed, but were still the same.

Maybe or maybe not Rasta could tell us how things are going with the planning for a TV movie based on Gile's past as Ripper???

Wow...just got done watching...its sad, i hate to see it end. I really do, its just after so long...<sigh> all good things must come to an end though, right?

I thought the episode was great. It fit in well with the season. The whole Wood/Faith interaction in the basement of the school or wherever they were, that was great, i was like screaming at my tv "Fuck ME Eliza! FUCK ME!!!!!!!!!"

The whole D&D playing during the night, with Andrew as the Dungeon master, wearing that red cape thing, too funny.

Oh yeah, and when Faith was unbuckling her pants, i almost passed out.

I'm glad Kennedy died, i hated her, but the way Anya died..THAT was harsh.

I love how Sunnydale just disapeared...so great. The whole episode kicked monster ass.

I dont think there'll be any movies or tv movies or anything like that...Rasta will probably back me up on this. Angel should be the focus, especially since Spike will be on there next season...gotta wait a long 6 months for that though.

As an aside, i just wanna publicly thank Rasta for starting this thread, giving us info when we wanted/needed it, being his cryptic ass self...thank you bro. And you were always there to back me up when i said i'd bang Dawn no matter how old she is:D Have a good summer my friend, much like Romial said, tell SLG i say hi. You will be missed.

Very well spoken thanks to him, and justly deserved. Thank you Eagle for reminding me of the simple appreciations. Thank you also Rasta for the thread. :)

Me too, but I'm going to be more sad to see Rasta go. Thanks for all the good times Buddy. :( *sniff*

Ok where is Rasta going?

I don't remember Kennedy dying, huh.

I thought Anya's death was very...real. I like that it was sudden and ireprable. I also liked that there was no goodbye. No dramatic farewell where all the fighting somehow misses Xander as he holds her or something. Just her lying dead a few feet from where he is calling for her. The image totally stuck with me. I think it was the most haunting image of the episode.

Yeah. When Anya died I just sat there and said, "Damn." It was just one of those moments.

Kennedy bit it in the Hellmouth, she collapsed in front of Buffy, at least, thats what i think i remember. I'm glad, i NEVER liked her..aside from the tounge ring...yeah, ok, snap out of it E, hehe.

I'm gonna miss Rasta lots too...but hey, he'll be living it up...looks like i'll never find out your true identity..and what it is you do... but so be it. I'm gonna miss you brotha.

And Sunstruck, Rasta is going "away" for the summer...he's gonna go pimp it hardcore, aint that right big man?

I can't believe you guys can't figure out who Rasta is. Who else would know exactly who was at the wrap party and who else (now that Buffy has wrapped) would take a "long" vacation? If you meddling kids can't solve this mystery....

I'm a dumbass, i cant help it. i was never good at this shit...ever. All this deductive reasoning...i suck at it.

are you suggesting that he is cast, crew or writer ?

If you are suggesting that he is cast, the only one that would be busy over the summer is Marsters and there is no way that's who Rasta is.

He obviously isnt Joss, Joss doesnt have time to breathe let alone play with us at the board and again. Maybe Goddard or Fury?

So spill, if you cant give us a name, then give us a position.

I didn't say he or she would be busy, of course I didn't say he/she wouldn't be busy. All we said is that he/she will be away....take that to mean whatever you want.

This hurt my head...lots.

Err I don't think Kennedy died. I am going to go look it up right now and will get back to you.

I watched the ep on tuesday but had the gf over so could not get online to talk about it. We watched the Matrix on DVD instead.

Ahh come on Rasta at least tell us what your particular job on the show was if you can't tell us your actual name.

Nope Kennedy did not die.

I am not even sure if some of the other slayers they showed dead in the hellmouth died either. I think that might have just been the first messing with buffy's brain when she was wounded.

Well the great thing about America is that whoever writes Faiths's lines lives in L.A. so they probably allready have been shot.
