The dickhead Campbell was charged for drunk driving in Hawaii. Mug shot, a couple hours in a cell and bail.

ROFL

What a man to lead our Province, eh?

RECALL !!!!!

And we have a great hockey team so there's a light! There's a light!

Somewhere Ralph is pointing at the TV and laughing his ass off.

I didn't know that you two are also in BC? :)

Back to the subject...I sure would hate to be a BC Premier...this makes two who have had bad things in their lives.

Mike Harcourt fell off a cliff at his house and almost died. He is recovering slowly.

Gordon Campbell's mug shot sure isn't pretty. What a braindead move. What's wrong with calling a taxi?? Dweeb...and to think that I would have voted for him if I could vote.

Bad things happen in 3s...I am wondering who is next.

I think you guys specialize in wierdo premiers out there.

Hey...that sounds like my kinda gig....

I don't condone it for sure. I just heard that in Hawaii it is a misdemeanor charge and not criminal code as it would be up here. I liked the fact that they did not know who they arrested and still did not know after he was released. At least he did not do the "Do you know who I am?" thing.
I do not think he should step down which is some of the rumblings in the papers etc.
He is going to have a press conference at 3:00 so at least we will find out how over he was etc.

HA. PremierCastor.

:)

"Premier Lance moves provincial capital to Whistler, appoints Ross Reblamgati to teach spelling of his name as first priority in new government ministry, Ministry of Hydroponics."

My old pal Ian Handsomemansing could be my PR director.

Perhaps even why the Premier of BC is in Hawaii instead of being at home ready to handle weather emergencies and stuff. Couldn't his trip to Hawaii wait until his constituents were safely through the winter?

The biggest weather emergency we will have this year is whether to wear shorts or carry an umbrella. We have had beautiful sunshine for days now...sure, it is down to freezing at night but we are in the warmest part of Canada here, WH.

This is typically the time that all the Govt officials take holidays as the Parliament is closed for a month or so.

There you go shattering my preconceptions abut Canada again.

My comment was really toungue in cheek -- mostly. I reallydo wonder what he's doing in Canada, and more importantly, who is paying for it. If it's a vacation at his personal expense, then cool.

Does anyone remember when Rene Levesque was premier of Quebec and hit a homeless man? He dragged him for 100 yards and only stopped when the cops caught him. He was drunk AND not wearing his glasses. Of course he didn't step down. I'm just glad it didn't happen in another country so it saved us the international scandal.

*snicker* I know! lol... I laughed my ass off when I heard about it. Here's some guy who wants to screw many people in the province out of income, and all that in the name of economy (and it's not what he's doing that pisses me off, it's how quickly he did it... you can't fire 11000 people, and then hike taxes and tuition, it just doesn't work that way).

Anyway... buddy in charge of a province, making speeches about drunk driving, and supporitng MADD, and he apparently writes cards to victims of drunk drivers and shit, and here he goes, doing that very thing. What a great role model for our children. What a great example of hypocracy.

And after he spent most of his political career arguing that those members of parliament who got criminal records for themselves should resign.. I wonder what he'll do?

....and he's smiling in his mug shot. It almost looks as if the cops said"Wipe that smile off your face, Bub!" before taking the 2nd one.

*giggle* No kidding.. that's what I said to honey this morning as we read the paper together. lol.

The point is, ikids...he did a stupid thing..IF you ask him to quit his job over this...wouldn't it be only fair to ask every person ever caught for DUI to also quit their jobs??? That would be a little stupid, yes?

He did a stupid, thing yes but he also did an illegal thing. I think politicians are supposed to abide by laws as much or even more so than their constituents. I don't think he should be forced to step down only because the precedence has been set and no one else ever steps down because of it but I think he owes BC a huge public apology.
