The remake has a good cast and could have been a great series. Instead, they went for the "action movie" style, where cops do things NO cop could / would do, flash over substance. Over the top villians, snappy dialog - all of that. So you can watch it, but it doesn't have the style of the original.

Late night post for me. We made it to Charleston safe and sound. Spent the entire afternoon on Folly Beach. The couple we traveled with are such great company. I can say it was wonderfully nice. We found this great seafood place and had our meal waterfront . That alone was fabulous. Fresh seafood and generous portions. I think tomorrow we plan to do some sightseeing and shopping. While our Grandsons play. My AV was our view from the restaurant. We sat there forever and just talked. Have to find some time tomorrow for the pool and maybe the beach at Isle of Palms. BrettJ I think it's fabulous you are writing so much again. And going to proffit from it. Just fabulous. Sure hoping NRSE is enjoying Florida and Investor is safe in his journeys. Everyone enjoy this weather and make it a good weekend.

Sadly, we don't have "this weather" - it is almost chilly. I just put on the coffee.

Enjoy your trips folks, nice to see T4T and the rest of you.

So many good restaurants in Charleston. We enjoyed Page's Okra Grill in Mt Pleasant this past spring.

No restaurants for me this weekend. Basically going to be dull.

Perhaps, but after work, you have an option and I do not.

I will make the most of it - get work done. If that happens, next month, I can start doing as I please.

After work it will be time to watch some football. Maybe a craft show in the morning before work.

Sounds like you have some things all worked out. Good for you. Not sure when the rain will stop and if the weather will be nice again.

Yes, you guessed it - another story was completed and posted.

Amanda

If you are stuck at home, at least I've given you reading material.

Good Morning from a now officially semi retired Nurse. My first day of semi retirement!! My friend and I sneaked away from the little ones and had a quiet breakfast. Which was very nice. We Web surfed for our next vacation. Outer Banks maybe? We even looked at Hawaii. So who knows. We let the Grandads stay with the little ones. I rarely get to enjoy breakfast with adult conversation. On our way to the Marketplace. The battery and Rainbow Row. You each have a good weekend. Got to go for now shopping and sightseeing awaits!! SCCouple I will check out that restaurant.

I thought you were retiring T4T? Are you going to keep a hand in? A family friend did that, she's been retired for over a decade, but the next-to last time I was at the hospital (heart issues and high BP spike) she was there - and she's in her 70's.

I am looking outside and it's still dull, but it may have stopped raining. I don't care one way or the other.

NRSE posted a pic on FB, looks like her vacay spot is pleasant.

New story has already had some hits and I got an idea for another. I'd like to have a minimum of 10 delivered to them by the 30th, but anything above that would be nice. A few hundred more dollars by next month would / could make a major life change. 18 months of living on pennies (they'd have to be US, we don't have them any more) and nickels is enough.

Just a fast hello. I'm going to help teach a CNA Nurse aide class. It only requires a few hours work and will help keep my licensure current. I want to keep my license active. And I am going to teach a telemetry class. Also a part time thing . We ordered in a pizza. Its been a busy day ! We visited two beaches and several historic places. And the Market for shopping :)

I know some people just need a tiny bit of activity to keep them sharp. My first year of retirement (over a decade ago) I just loved it. Now the only way I could fully retire again was having almost no limits on my money.

I dream of being able to retire while still young and healthy enough to enjoy retirement.

It can be overrated. If you've got the money to enjoy it, fine. If not, it's long days with not enough to do.

I don't think I'm anywhere close to being able to retire. Maybe somebody really rich will remember me in their will.

In the past five years, we've received inheritances, which we've put half towards retirement...and we're still not close!

I was struggling financially for a while. When my retirement returns in a handful of years, my income goes up. I will continue to write, however.

Three Amigos

This is my latest, which I hope some will enjoy and vote on. I think the story trolls are still following me, so any that enjoy it, please vote. One of my stories just got the repeated negative votes removed and it would astonish some of you to see how high the numbers jumped. Let's not give these LIT slugs (well, they aren't people) any power. If any others of you are authors and don't know how to fix ratings you think are suspiciously low / bad, let me know via PM.

Ratings have always baffled me. It is surprising how quickly a story's rating can drop. It is equally amazing how some crappy stories can get good ratings.

I think I have voted for all of your stories I have read, I finished The Bondage Family yesterday.

I meant to post a good morning but I'm a little late. This veranda and view held me captive :)Our travel friends left homeward. We will return later this evening. I wanted to soak my toes in the ocean one last time. And no jelly stings. High five for that those things hurt ! We went to that Maritime center last night and took the Pirate Ghost Cruise . What fun and we saw dolphins . I defiantly enjoy all that Charleston has to offer.
Hope you all are doing great.

When you see a good story that has had low ratings, it is often because the "trolls" have all voted as a group and lowered the rating. Sometimes a bunch will vote a number of times (they have ways to drop the rating of a story. That can be fixed.

Thank you for voting.

Glad you vacation was enjoyable T4T.

Hello and good afternoon SIENNA :rose: and thanks for your first post in the thread.

My co-hostess is enjoying the lovelier climates right now, leaving me to solo hosting chores for now. I could use some nicer weather myself, it has gotten quite chilly here in Ontario.

Enjoy the lounge, it remains well stocked.

How is like now that you are back in the UK? Miss Ibiza at all?

T4T, glad there were no jellyfish stings, those do hurt. Charleston is nice to visit, the Ms. lived there for a while.
