We have one Krispy Kreme. It stays packed. We have 3 Sonics and they keep pretty busy. We also have 3 Chick Fil A. I like the food and the atmosphere. They play contemporary Christian music and have inspirational magazines available. I also strongly support the political views. So we can agree to disagree.

We have a new Texas Roadhouse. It was packed tonight. My nephew had an awesome party. He was ecstatic to learn he is going to Legoland Friday . I have to start packing !

Yes we can agree to disagree. I believe that many Christians support gay marriage. But I also acknowledge I live in a country where that has been legal for over 20 years. It's been a non-issue here for that long.

I am sometimes surprised by US / Canada differences. For example, my NC friend didn't support free health care. She could afford any care she needed. Were she in MY shoes, she just might have to see it in a new light. I would likely be dead were it not for medical care.

All the restaurant talk makes me hungry. I'm good eating at any of them. I pretty tolerant of different political and religious views, so I don't let that get in my way of enjoying food. For burgers, I'm a fan of Rush's, a chain in Columbia.

One Krispy Kreme in our area tho not real close. Lots of the local gas stations sell their doughnuts so we can get our fix but nothing like getting there in the morning and getting one fresh off the line.

There are no Chick Fil A around us anywhere.

There is a Texas Roadhouse just down the street but we have only ate there a few times. I was never all that impressed with their food. We have so many steak houses like that around here that we prefer Logan's steakhouse.

Sonic....we have a few around the area. We use to go there a lot when they first opened. Kids got ice cream during the summer then went to the skate park for a few hours. They left the ice cream in the closed car while skating. When they came out the ice cream had not melted, at all. Not as much a fan any longer.

No Carl's around us. We have one Hardee's but it's not real close. Going up north there are a few. One right in town and the other one the ride. We tend to stop there for breakfast on the ride home each time. About an hour from the house so it's a nice distance to stop.

Tim's are EVERYWHERE around here. I'm not a big fan. Their coffee is to hot and, to me, has a crappy taste. I like the ice cap's but to much sugar.

Welcome back Ling. It sounds as if you had a fun weekend. If you scroll back you will see I had a few words with Doctor "P". Haven't gotten a call from my supervisor so he either didn't report me. Or witnesses substantiated the fact he was being a butt !!

Welcome back ydahecnot and Neak. Hope you both have a fantastical day. Mine is jam packed with family stuff. Lunch at school with my Nephew then a family birthday party for him. Today is his official day. He got several nice gifts yesterday. An Officer friend of my brothers hooked him up with Officer gear. Only supposed to be 88 here. Maybe the 90 plus temps are gone !

A Texas Roadhouse opened on "restaurant road," near several other chains that are either always too busy - Olive Garden, Red Lobster, and Bonefish - or are a little busy - including Hooters, Chili's, and Cici's Pizzeria.

Not sure if we'll hit that place.

My "home away from home" was an Italian eatery (my favorite) called Charlies. Been closed for over a decade and I miss it every day. For years, the food was good, inexpensive and I knew all of the staff. No places like that for me now, none at all.
