Born Super Star (open)

Robin sighed lightly whe he realized she was not joking after all, and he could read from her eyes, it had been always been there, she saw him as a lover. He did not know what to say for a while or what to react to her. He knew she was very matured for her age which was why they got along well, but he did not expect her to blurt out her feelings to him like that, abruptly.

"Bella, I know you like me, I like you too, more than a friend, as I feel happy around you, and myself. But Bella, are you sure you don't want to think more about this? "

He said calmly, and he was not going to go anywhere near the debate of the age gap, he knew she was way past it and he then added.

"Even though you are my daughter, May's age, I never truly thought of you as a daughter because despite your age, you are one of the most matured thinking women I've met in the course of my life."

she tilted her head "There is nothing to think Rob, ive been in love with you for 1 and a half years and im still in love. ive been dealing with this for a long time, convincing myself it wasn't meant to be. But my feelings have not gone away, they just grew even bigger. She leaned back unsure what to say or even do. She rubbed the back of her neck, unsure of what was going on in his head. She knew what she wanted and she had to prove that to him.

"I...I just don't know what to say to this Bella."

He stuttered, looking taken back as he reached out for his wine glass and downed the wine, looking very bemused and like in disbelief and clearly restless.

"You know, I was thinking the time of relationships had been long gone for me."

He said quietly to her as he looked at her, his distracted eyes trying to make contact with her.

"I'm pretty old for one and I'm not exactly ready, financially and mentally just as yet. I had my divorce confirmed only a month ago, and I need to speak to May. We have to pull through all these, and if your feelings still says you like me.."

He smiled widely now and he touched her hand and then he added.

"I will marry you."

She could feel his eyes wanting to look into her own, she was taken back by what he said. Had she heard him right? he wanted to marry her. Everything stopped, there was no one just the two of them, she looked down for a moment as she processed all this information and looked up once more. She shook her head head.

"We will take this slow...I love you Rob..." she said lovingly.

"I never thought there will be a day I'd hear this from you."

Robin said and smiled, looking still in daze and in disbelief, the expression on his face like Christmas had came early for him and he nodded hearing her, his hands still over hers, he said.

"Love comes for those who wait, I believe that."

He took his hands off hers and put his hands into his pocket and retrieved his wallet and then flipped open and then showed her a picture of a girl, in her mid-teens with curly blonde hair and eyes that looked like his.

"This is May, my daughter."

She smiled as he pulled out a wallet, she took the picture and noticed something. "She has your eyes..." She said a nice compliment. She handed it back to him "How old is she now?" she knew last year that she was about her own age. Looking back at him. Bella relaxed totally now. She had always wanted a family, she still did. She just hope May would accepter because of the age.

"She is 17."

Rob said, as he let Bella look at the photo of his girl, and hearing her compliment that May had his eyes, he chuckled and he replied.

"Yeah she does. Dark eyes like mine."

He knew what was running into her mind, as it was running in his too, whether she will accept her if he chooses to marry her and he said.

"She had been through a tough growing up, all thanks to me. Now she's living on her own,in a hostel near her college in Michigan. I haven't seen her for over a year, except the divorce preceedings. Now I am determined to make up for her, if I ever could. Be a good father, I never was to her."

She nodded at the age, about a three year age difference. She was afraid May would reject her, but that wasn't what Bella cared about. What she was worried about is how she would be with her father. She didn't want to destroy there relationship.

"It's still possible to do that Rob, to have a relationship. Before my father died we had a wedge split between us. It was a stupid fight, this is a stupid reason for it but...on a winter road I hit a patch of black ice and I was driving my fathers car...It got banged up...but after a while we grew closer.

Unfortunately we grew closer only one year before he died...at least May still has you..instead of losing everyone"

Robin listened to Bella keenly, with deep interest taking in all she said about her relationship with her father. He was really pleased that she was trying to make things better for him, giving him hope that he could fix things with May.

"So I guess that is why you like me? I remind you of your dad?"

He asked curiously and thought over it for a while and the nodding in understanding he said.

"You should meet May. She would like you, because we both had simialr tastes. But I can't let her down again. I feel sorry for how my ex-wife treated her. "

Bella listened to what he said and shook her head "No you don't remind me of my father. I mean your sweet like my father. But you don't remind me of him, he would like you. He would give you the "take care of my daughter or i will kill you" talk" She laughed.

"But it would just be his sense of humor " she said kindly.

Robin laughed hearing Bella and he nodded in understanding, knowing too well what she meat about the protective nature of fathers.

"I'd do the same for May too, if she's with me. But I never would stop her from who she wants to date."

His mind trailed off slightly, as he wondered how his daughter was doing, all on her own all this while.

She held his hand in one of her and stroked the top of his hand with her thumb, she knew something was up. "You should call her Rob, im sure everything will turn out ok. Im not really worried about May's reaction to me, but I worry for you. I wouldn't want to see you get hurt"

Rob smiled listening to Bella. It deeply touched him how much she cared about him, when all he did was to care about everything else besides him.

"Thanks Bella. I have been too much to be hurt further by anything."

He said and sighed as he gazed down and then, the waiter came over, with the bill.

Robin settled their bills and stood up and then gave her the same old smile and said.

"Do I still get to drop you at your place or you have a chaffeur to drive you back, Lady B?"

She smiled "My manager wants me to have one, but I didn't want one.." She said kindly and laughed at the Lady B name, and she nodded. "So yes I need someone to take me" she wondered what exactly would happen. Tonight was a special night for her and for Robin.

"Convenience sake I suppose. Just imagine Lady B walking into the subway, just imagine the jam it'll cause!"

Robin said and laughed, as he led her out of the cafe, into the bright car park outside. His car was parked not too far and he took out his automatic key remote and clicked it.

He led her to the car and to the passenger seat and opened the door for her to enter.

Bella was taken back by him, he was very caring. When she got in and he got in, bulked up and started she looked at him. "I want to thank you. Robin" She said in a loving tone. "You have done a lot for me in the past year and a half. But it also means a lot to me with our relationship. Being in this relationship is new to me, since ive never kissed a guy" She chuckled some. "I was to busy with school..." She took his hand in hers.

"Thank you...for being together..."

Robin started the engine and turned on the radio, one of Bella's song came up in th radio and he smiled as he hummed merrily and he said.

"One of my favorite songs..."

As she thanked him and hearing her say she had never kissed a guy, he was slightly surprised, someone as pretty as her had never kissed a guy. He raised his eye brow and mused out loud.

"Wow, that's unbelieveable. Maybe that may change.."

He had a secret smile at this and squeezed her hands which she had in his and he said.

"You don't have to thank me Bella. We are beyond the stage of formalities now."

She smiled looking at him and nodded "I know, and yet this is still so new. I guess im strange" She giggled lovingly at him. She rested in the seat and looked back at him. "How's everything with you going? I always make sure to have time to myself, which is why I like how things are running. I don't want to be a burnt out singer at the age of 19' Bella thought for a moment.

"You know..perhaps you would like to stay a while, there is a song that I am dedicating to you" A smile formed on her face. "its taken me six months to finish it"

Robin remained quiet, with only a smile as she spoke about how everything was new to her, he could tell she was just used to be formal with him, as he was her producer after all but he always treated her personally.

"I'm just getting older and you remind me that often my dear Bella."

He said with a slight chuckle, casting his eyes onto her for a while and then he added.

"Because you look so young besides me. I never asked you before, because I never deemed it proper, but how old are you Bella?:

As he listened to her speak of a song she is working and it been dedicated to him, his eyes widened, with surprise and he chuckled and then thanked her.

"That maeans alot to me Bella. Thank you for been so sweet."

She kept thinking of people that listened to her, the song on the radio she smiled hearing one of her old songs, she brought everyone with me just about. She thought for a moment, well we met when I was 18 and im almost 20 right now" She said looking over smiled, gazing at the others. In the car.

She held his hand as he drove her home

"That makes you 19 eh?"

Robin asked, smiling and he had been right about her age, he knew she was younger than 20, she looked really young to me.

He turned the knob of the radio, seeing how listening to her own song was making her happy and an interview was on, with her on the radio and with her fans.

"Looks like alot of people love you Bella.."

He said clearly amused and not minding the least as she held his hand.

She smiled looking at him, he was sweet that was for sure. Something about him made her at ease. She had no idea how much he liked her, she blushed a bit. "It's good to hear that..coming out of your mouth" she laughed softly and sighed. "Im still careful tho, popular people can be killed by someone that is there fan"

"Crazy fan eh?"

Robin asked, smiling and the first thing that came to his mind was John Lennon. Robin was in jail, when he heard of the news of his death which came shocking to him. In his teen years, Lenon had been an inspiration to him,and then came the news of his death, he was just young.

"It's sad, how talented people had been short lived."

Robin muttered out loud, as he pulled over the car, they seemed to have arrived at her place, a convenient and big house, which was very much different from the apartment she was living a year earlier.

"So still living all on your own?"

He asked curiously as he smiled at her, she must have alot of helpers in the house to clean it, it seemed too big for one to manage by themselves and she was a very busy person too.

Bella smiled as he talked, she showed him inside, it was very warm and friendly. 'Well im not to sure if you consider me on my own" She said kindly. "Im a huge animal activist and have some dog's and cat's...hell any kind of animal, that need a good home." It was a beautiful home. She removed her jacket and relaxed a bit more. Looking at him she smiled. "Get comfortable if you wish..care for a drink?" She said with a soft smile. Something about this situation was magical.

Robin paused at the door step of hers, unsure if he was invited inside. He had never been into her apartment before but as she showed him inside, he hesitated just for a while to make sure it was alright and then he followed her inside.

The interior was warm and friendly, just like her and he noticed that she had a big collection of cats and dogs, almost every corner, and then he understood this as she explained she was an animal activist.

"You got a nice place here."

He complimented, stealing a glance at every design he could chance upon and then he stopped, at what appeared to be the living room. He leaned back, admiring her design as she took her jacket off and was distracted till he heard he,asking if he wanted a drink.

"Uh...oh sure..make it something drink..I'm cold!"

He rubbed his hand and smile, he was shivering, but he knew it was just more than the cold, maybe the atmosphere and been in the presence of her, in her house.
