Blatant theft!

Ha HA! I can think of questions too!

Okay, Wickid Cherry Pie ... these ones are for YOU...

1) What is your favorite location for a piercing, either on yourself or another person, and why?

2) What is one idea or thing you've found on Lit that you'd most like to actually try that you HAVEN'T yet? This can be in the boards or the stories.

3) What do you love most to DO sexually to someone else?

4) Do you have one favorite toy? Describe it in detail.

5) What is your greatest non-sexual study interest?

Whew... I'm proud of myself!

1. What person or event triggered your adult sexual awakening and helped to shape the sexual being you are today?

My first lover taught me so much, but I didn't grow 'into my own' concerning my sexuality until one particular man...I had been friends with him for a long time, and we became lovers when I was 24. He was the first man who made me believe that anything and everything was okay. He was completely and totally open about sex. He not only broke me out of my shell, he threw it far away and danced naked on the remnants. ;)

2. What is the best book you have ever read and why?

"The Pilot's Wife" by Anita Shreve gives me chills every time. It's about a woman who is married to a pilot, obviously. Her husband's plane goes down within the first three pages, and only after he is dead does she begin to learn who he really was. It asks the question: How well do we ever really know someone? That books haunts me. I must have read it a hundred times. And the final line...one final, unexpected phrase...makes me cry like a little child with a broken heart. It's awesome.

3. What would you like your children to most remember about you?

That the greatest virtue of my strength is that it allowed me to be weak. That compassion is the greater part of love. And that no matter what, I was always proud to be their mother. :)

4. If I gave you access to any resource and unlimited finances what dream of yours would you fulfill?

Ah...wow. Completely unlimited finances? I would adopt every child I could possibly afford and handle. And beyond that, I would love to finance anyone else who was willing to open their homes and hearts to children. There are so many children out there, especially older boys and girls, who wind up in a foster system and fall through the infamous cracks. If I had all the money in the world, and all the resources I needed, I would make sure that every child had a chance for a good life, and those simple bedtime stories and milk and cookies. There are just some things everyone deserves. :)

5. How many licks does it take to get to the tootsie roll center of a tootsie pop?

Dunno. But I'm more than willing to experiment and find out. ;)

Cool questions! I like this thread. :D

Sheath...thanks for that comment. Took me a long time to give myself permission to be weak....very good point.

OK Bobmi for you....

1. I've noticed you give great advice on the How To forum. Just how did you get so wise?

Well its not wisdom, its just that I've committed most of the mistakes already, so I have the benefit of knowing how I've fucked up in the past and can tell others how to avoid my mistakes.

2. What's your favourite type of music or musician?
Well that depends on what I'm doing. I'm a big fan of Enya and Lorenna Mckennett and like to listen to them when I'm programming/working. For easy listening while in the car or just goofing off around the house, I like the beach boys, Billy Joel, mostly what the younger crowd would probably called "oldies" these days (although I consider 50's and 60's music oldies) :)

3. What top 5 factors help make/are necessary for a relationship to work?

Hmmmm
Honesty
Caring
Communication
A little dose of competition
and a lot of good sex.

Oh yeah, it also helps if you realize that your spouse wasn't put here on this planet solely for your pleasure. :)

4. What is your favourite place to travel to...where would you most like to vacation?

Hmmmm I'm quite fond of carribean, St Thomas, the US virgin islands, the florida keys. Living in Northern Idaho, I get my daily fill of mountains, so if I had to pick a vacation spot, it would have to be at the ocean.

5. Have you ever lusted after a man or been bi-curious?

Nope, never. I'm afraid that I am firmly hardwired as a heterosexual. My lustful thoughts are filled with boobies. The only penis allowed to invade those thoughts is my own. :D

Great answers...thanks for playing along. *looks like I should have asked about some of your mistakes hehe*

Making a mental note

to truck down to the local Borders and and check out " The Pilots Wife".

Excellent answers S.! As always.:D

2. What is the most embarrassing thing that has ever happened to you in a sexual context ......I had *JUST* come back from 6 month med. cruise, and my wife and I put the kiddo down for a nap, and went to the bedroom, and we were just getting into it, and a friend opened our front door to give us a set of keys to the car he had borrowed.. THAT wouldnt have been that bad, but, he hollered and woke my son up, so we couldnt finish..... we couldnt do anything till much later that night, because my son was awake.

I had the same response to that book. I still get the willies if I think about it too much.

I had to dig it out this morning and begin reading it. Again. I always seem to find something new. This morning it was one passage that I have been kicking over and over in my head:

"She peered over the edge at the water, at its surface, constantly shifting though seemingly still. A person was not what he had been the day before, Kathryn thought. Or the day before that."

I've been giving that lots of thought. I'm going to go to the lake tomorrow and watch the water while I contemplate that. :)

Yes it is! All my life I gave to others...even had the nic 'Ann Landers' on my office door at university as a joke ....but took me years to realize that I could still be strong and want to ask for help...want to be comforted by someone else.... to allow myself to cry freely. Was no one but me stopping myself.. my image of who I was and wanted to be. My friends and loved ones would have thought no less of me. It's true...sometimes we are our own worst enemy....but sometimes we learn :)

I'm going to divert this thread somewhat by posting a group of questions, but not direct them towards anyone in particular. Feel free to answer them or not....

1) Given 1 million bucks, but told you can't spend it on yourself or your family, what would you spend it on, especially if NO one will know its you that spent the money?

2) We've all heard the first time stories, ie first time you saw a naked person, first time you made love etc... For many, the first time was NOT a memorable experience. So describe the first experience that WAS memorable, and what made it so?

3) Whats the one thing about yourself that you'd never change for another, and the one thing you'd change in a heartbeat.

4) Have you ever been truly, deep in the gut frightened? And if so, why?

5) Name the one place you'd love to have sex at, but for one reason or another never have.

and finally;

6) Name the one thing you yourself can do that makes you feel very relaxed and comfortable, at peace.

Probably fund a few scholarships in the names of a couple of teachers who inspired me at my HS and college
2) We've all heard the first time stories, ie first time you saw a naked person, first time you made love etc... For many, the first time was NOT a memorable experience. So describe the first experience that WAS memorable, and what made it so?
You mean first memorable time GOOD or first memorable time BAD? Let me know & I will answer
3) Whats the one thing about yourself that you'd never change for another, and the one thing you'd change in a heartbeat.
For ANOTHER? Hmmmm. My spirituality would NEVER change for someone else. In a heartbeat? The amount of time I spend online :D
4) Have you ever been truly, deep in the gut frightened? And if so, why?
WARNING! The answer to this one is GRAPHIC
Oh hell yes. More than once. First time I really TRULY felt it was when I was 14 & had an accident with a piece of farming equipment. My right leg was nearly severed between the knee & ankle (I actually got to see inside my shin, neat-O!) and I physically SAW my femoral artery start to seep blood. I was half an hour from medical attention and was rushed there with a splint & tourniquet on wondering if I would lose my leg or my life. When I got to the rural OR and they started trying to sew me back up, a man was brought in nex to me. This was a REAL small OR and while I listened (conscious thru the whole thing, WHEE! :D) I watched him die of a heart attack on the table next to me. 14's an AWFUL young age to have to so closely contemplate one's own mortaility. I think that fear made me cry more than the truly excruciating pain.
5) Name the one place you'd love to have sex at, but for one reason or another never have.
That's easy. The altar of St. Peter's Cathedral, the Vatican. Haven't done it (yet!) for obvious reasons. (can't get an appointment time or knock the altar boys out of the way)
and finally;
6) Name the one thing you yourself can do that makes you feel very relaxed and comfortable, at peace.
Snuggle up naked & close with someone I love and hold each other tight.

Interestingly enough, that was my first thought as well. Spend the money to see some kids get a decent introduction to the sciences.

I reckon I am wondering about good experiences. Basically the dawning of the idea that "Hey, this really isn't all that bad!".

I can't claim something as gruesome or as graphic, but when I was 11, I had an experience that I've never had again (thank god). A group of friends and I were playing in a park and this heavy set guy walked past us. The look he gave me was enough to send shivers up and down my spine and set my hair standing on end. A few minutes later this day guy attempted to rape one of the girls that were playing with us. Being 11 I didn't understand what he was doing, I thought he was mugging the girl. I beaned him with a rock as I ran past him, screaming to my friends that there was a mugger on the loose. Luckily for the girl my timely rock must have startled him because she came running out of the bushes a few minutes later, no pants, and no rape. Just the trauma of nearly being raped.

In all my life since I've never had another premonition like that one. Something so primal that it immediately put me into fight or flight mode.

Ok
On the "good" side
When I was 14 the girl next door (my age) had developed young in to a D-cup
I had a good camera & was already very much in to photos
I took over my SI swinsuit issue to her pool & tried to convince her to emulate some of the poses for me
One of them was a shot of a lady with her hands over her breasts
After some cajoling, she unlaced her bikini top and there they were...my first real, live set of breasts
Not only did I think "This photography gig is a GOOD idea" but "Someday I will touch those ALL the time"
Ahh the innocent days of youth *sigh*

1) Given 1 million bucks, but told you can't spend it on yourself or your family, what would you spend it on, especially if NO one will know its you that spent the money?

Alzheimer's Disease research. THere are so many good causes, but I've got some personal upfront experiances with that one.

2) We've all heard the first time stories, ie first time you saw a naked person, first time you made love etc... For many, the first time was NOT a memorable experience. So describe the first experience that WAS memorable, and what made it so?

Sigh. Memories.... 15 years old. Shy, nervous and with a self esteem you could count in atoms. I thought I was fat and ugly and that no girl would ever want me, as anything but a firend. Then one of those friends of mine confided in me that her classmate had a major crush on me. That day, in my own head, I went from cantgetlaidinawhorehouse to Don Juan de Marco.

3) Whats the one thing about yourself that you'd never change for another, and the one thing you'd change in a heartbeat.

I'd change anything shallow, nothing deep down.

4) Have you ever been truly, deep in the gut frightened? And if so, why?

Two times:
* When my parents' house burned to the ground and we all thought my kid brother was trapped inside. Seconds later he came running around the corner.
* Tangled in a drifting fishing net being bulled deeper and deeper underwater. This was last summer. I still have mightmares.

5) Name the one place you'd love to have sex at, but for one reason or another never have.

Just one? Then it'll be Stockholm Globe Arena. On the roof. Been up there, and thought it would be a geat place for me, my girl and a king size bed.

6) Name the one thing you yourself can do that makes you feel very relaxed and comfortable, at peace.

Sail. Alone. For hours. Sometimes for days. (when a poor sap like me can get to borrow a boat that is)
Also: Walk the woods. Alone. For hours. Sometimes for days.

my first time was miserable......could never forget that nightmare......a virgin with another virgin......i was so worried about giving her pleasure that i couldnt get it up.

3) Whats the one thing about yourself that you'd never change for another, and the one thing you'd change in a heartbeat.

I would love to calm down my temper.......now i wouldnt give up my sense of humor for anything

4) Have you ever been truly, deep in the gut frightened? And if so, why?

The second time I had a gun pulled on me during high school.....all because I borrowed a friends jacket and they were looking for him.....me being the genius I was at 16 instead of running or backing down I got in the little Hispanic gang bangers face and talked shit until his friends told them they had to go.....couldnt sleep for three days after that.....especially when I found out the guys actually had the thing loaded the next day......

5) Name the one place you'd love to have sex at, but for one reason or another never have.

I havent had sex on a moving train yet......still trying to get my wife interested in that.....

6) Name the one thing you yourself can do that makes you feel very relaxed and comfortable, at peace.

Drive....I love to drive hard and fast

1) Given 1 million bucks, but told you can't spend it on yourself or your family, what would you spend it on, especially if NO one will know its you that spent the money?

HABITAT for Humanity. Long Story short I once spent some time homeless and NOBODY should have to go through that if it can be helped.

2) We've all heard the first time stories, ie first time you saw a naked person, first time you made love etc... For many, the first time was NOT a memorable experience. So describe the first experience that WAS memorable, and what made it so?

First time a guy went down on me of all weird things. It was my now husband and we were doing some heavy petting at his house fooling around but trying to keep to the promise that we weren't going to have sex. ( For Lit purpouses we were both of course over the age of 18!) At any rate he said he wanted to see what I looked like when I came and I reminded him sex was a no no so he propped me up in the side of his mothers pool table and laid me back on the felt and began to trace my name across my clit with the tip of his tounge. I think he got through it about 3 times before I had what still remains one of the most powerful climaxes in memory.

3) Whats the one thing about yourself that you'd never change for another, and the one thing you'd change in a heartbeat.

I'd never change my dark sense of humor. I do know that sometimes it weirds people out, but it's one of the things I like best about myself; my ability to find humor in even the worst situations. In a heartbeat I'd change- if I could- my cynicism. I've learned to find humor in the bad stuff because I always believe the bead stuff is going to happen.

4) Have you ever been truly, deep in the gut frightened? And if so, why?

Yes I have. When my first daughter Elizabeth was only 6 months old she took ill. She got very sick, very fast and being a new mother I took her to the docs on post to get her better. They ran her thru a bunch of different antibiotics but nothing seemed to help. Finally I took her back and asked the docs to do SOMETHING to make her get better, she wasn't eating, wetting, ANYTHING! The doctors at the clinic prescribed an antibiotic for her and sent us home. I gave it to her that night as instructed and went to bed. A few hours later I woke up because I had begun to express milk and realized that she hadn't woken up for her early morning feeding. I went in to check on her and found that she wasn't breathing. Her lips had turned blue as had the nailbeds of her fingers and her soft spot was sunken in. I snatched her up and ran her to the hospital where she was immediatley taken from me into intensive care and I was asked to wait in the hall. The docs put her on a breathing machine and told us we'd have to wait the night. If she made it thru that she'd be alright, but that she was badly dehydrated and there was a chance for brain damage.
That night was the most terrifying of my life. I have never felt fear to match it and hope I never will again.
FYI...she is now a healthy normal 9 yr. old and the illness was caused by an allergic reaction to something in her formula!!!

In the tunnel at Mellon arena in Pittsburgh. It's a hockey thing...don't ask!

Children's homes, orphanages, anything that could benefit the little ones of the next generation. And I would want it to be entirely anonymous. The thrill is in seeing the money work.

2) We've all heard the first time stories, ie first time you saw a naked person, first time you made love etc... For many, the first time was NOT a memorable experience. So describe the first experience that WAS memorable, and what made it so?

For me, I was one of those lucky ones who had a good, memorable first time. :) He was patient, he was gentle, and he let me take control...move things at my own pace...and I have never regretted my first. It was perfect. :)

3) Whats the one thing about yourself that you'd never change for another, and the one thing you'd change in a heartbeat.

I would never change who I am or what I do for a living. I would also never change the fact that I'm a mother. :) The one thing I would change in a heartbeat? Just about anything else, if it was worthwhile for someone I truly loved.

4) Have you ever been truly, deep in the gut frightened? And if so, why?

Yes. Oh, yes. When I was pregnant with my daughter, things didn't go well. There were so many complications. I was in and out of the hospital on a daily basis. Then I went into labor...again...and the doctor said it was too fast to stop. In the midst of it all, I began to hemmorage. The last thing I remember was the doctor looking at the nurse and hissing, "Get her husband out of here. RIGHT NOW." That was a terrifying moment. The magnitude of it hit me all at once. And then I either passed out or they put me under anesthesia, I'm not sure which. It was just one moment, but it was a terror that I would never wish on my worst enemy, ever.

5) Name the one place you'd love to have sex at, but for one reason or another never have.

I want to fuck in the middle of a hurricane. ;)

Going in to look at my children in the middle of the night, while they are sound asleep...smelling all clean and fresh from their baths...their hair so soft and their breathing so even...and knowing that they are safe, they are loved, and they are mine. It is the most delightful feeling in the world. :)

3. If you were to give me a week of fully paid/covered vacation to the spot of my choice I would spend that week in the small quiet village of Assisi in Italy. I lived there for a month as a kid and it has stuck out in my mind to this day as the most beautiful place on earth. The winding cobblestone streets that cover the mountains, the fields and vineyards dotting the landscape and the quiet little monasteries tucked away along the country roads lined with Olive trees. That and the Basillica de Santa Chiara is in Assisi along with the Vasillica de San Francesco. (Brother Sun and Sister Moon) My brother and I were named after them and the Basillicas are some of the most beautiful in the world.

You are sooo right. We just visited there for one day last April and I left with the mixed feelings of having been to one of the truly beautiful and peaceful places on earth and being cheated that I only had one day. We had lunch at the hotel a few yards from the Basillica overlooking the countryside on an absolutely perfect spring afternoon. I took a bunch of pictures that I have shown people and I always have to explain how they don't do it justice. We WILL go back though.

Great idea...would have answered them sooner but they're actually difficult questions for me to answer.

1) Given 1 million bucks, but told you can't spend it on yourself or your family, what would you spend it on, especially if NO one will know its you that spent the money?

This is difficult...so many worthy causes....all sorts of dieases that need to be cured....children of course....women's shelters...education of all sorts....but I think I'd like to use the money to help young people travel to distant countries. I think travel helps broadens our minds and if done right makes us more accepting of those different than us...a little bit towards world peace.

2) We've all heard the first time stories, ie first time you saw a naked person, first time you made love etc... For many, the first time was NOT a memorable experience. So describe the first experience that WAS memorable, and what made it so?

hmmm actually my first time was great....well not the best ever but great for a first time. Came totally out of the blue with one of my older brother's friends that I'd had a crush on. I was visiting the university I eventually went to and he showed me around the city...and more. :) What was wonderful about it? It wasn't all lovey dovey....but it was fun,...we started with a pillow fight...he was kind and gentle but experienced and adventurous...it was so unlike me...but he awoke my sexual being....gotta love him for that!

3) Whats the one thing about yourself that you'd never change for another, and the one thing you'd change in a heartbeat.

Never change? My personality. Change in a hearbeat....hmmm ok I'll be superficial...I'd like to lose a few pounds

4) Have you ever been truly, deep in the gut frightened? And if so, why?

Well I used to have this recurring night mare that would scare me half to death. Scary part was I couldn't tell when I was awake or asleep. Scared me so badly one night I was afraid to go back to sleep cause I knew it would start again. Was visiting my Mom so asked if I could sleep with her! btw I was a grown woman.

5) Name the one place you'd love to have sex at, but for one reason or another never have.

Some place outside....hmmm......in the woods...wearing a skirt...standing...pushed up against a tree...taken quickly, urgently, like an animal in heat.

This was the only easy question.....making love....lying in my lover's arms

The reasoning behind this question is actually very simple. $1,000,000.00 is actually quite a small sum these days (although I wouldn't mind having it). Giving it to something like cancer research, while noble, will barely pay the salaries and operating costs of a well stocked lab for a month.

A couple of people, myself included, mentioned the possibility of using it to further the education or helping of children. This is one area where I think it would probably do the most good.

If I had a million bucks? I'd spend 100K setting up a small observatory here in Northern Idaho and form a non-profit foundation to run it off of the remaining 900k. Its primary purpose would be to teach grade schoolers some of the basics of modern physics and astronomy.

Although my kids don't live with me, I'm am concerned about the quality of the education our youth are getting these days. It seems to be a mix of wild fancy and poor foundational learning. If our nation is to remain technologically strong, we must insure that the kids of today will be capable of building on what we've done.

1) Given 1 million bucks, but told you can't spend it on yourself or your family, what would you spend it on, especially if NO one will know its you that spent the money?

Environmental studies (for the better, non genetic engenearing) and children's aid societies, A.I.D's societies, humane society aaaaand hm my environmental liberal arts college.

2) We've all heard the first time stories, ie first time you saw a naked person, first time you made love etc... For many, the first time was NOT a memorable experience. So describe the first experience that WAS memorable, and what made it so?

My third time having sex, was the best ever vanilla sex I ever had.

3) Whats the one thing about yourself that you'd never change for another, and the one thing you'd change in a heartbeat.

Never: who I am today and why... I've been through a copious amount of shit and I wouldn't take it back bc it formed who I am today.
Change: I'd add a few inchs to my height, 3.. no more then 3 inchs. I'm 5'2 :)

4) Have you ever been truly, deep in the gut frightened? And if so, why?

Yes. My father was in a manic state (once again) and he was screaming about the voices in his head (he was also drunk at the time) and I was the only one home, and I was afraid he was going to mistake me for a voice bc I was trying to sooth him until the ambulance came.

5) Name the one place you'd love to have sex at, but for one reason or another never have.
A confessional ... haven't met anyone so far that would go that far. And a few places around campus bc it was too cold at the time (winter in VT lasts for 7...8 months..)

and finally;

6) Name the one thing you yourself can do that makes you feel very relaxed and comfortable, at peace.

Meditate with music in the background.
(or cheat and take a lil nyquil and go to sleep)
reading works too...

1) Given 1 million bucks, but told you can't spend it on yourself or your family, what would you spend it on, especially if NO one will know its you that spent the money?

The first thing that pops into my head is AIDs research/ clinics... given what a problem it is not only in our country, but in Africa and the rest of the world, I think it merits funding to solve it...

2) We've all heard the first time stories, ie first time you saw a naked person, first time you made love etc... For many, the first time was NOT a memorable experience. So describe the first experience that WAS memorable, and what made it so?

The first time I got really physical with a guy - anything more than kissing around - was fortunately memorable in a good way. I wasn't self confident in high school, so just being friends with someone who was cute and didn't give a fuck what other people thougth of him for hanging out with me was incredible... and he ended up fingering me one day, in my bedroom at home. I didn't really return any of that favor - it was just sort of out of the blue -we were kissing around, and then... yeah. It was like a gift.

3) Whats the one thing about yourself that you'd never change for another, and the one thing you'd change in a heartbeat.

I will not change my love of my job and my commitment to it. At this point in my life... time on-line is the first thing that comes to mind..... I agree with whomever said, change anything shallow, nothing deep.
