friends can disagree. suck it up. you have been manipulated and your thread has turned to shit. there is one negative influence there who drove a lot of posters away. that poster has turned up elsewhere in an attempt to incite ill-feeling. so far they have been unsucessful. if you don't appreciate straight talk then i guess that's that. I know nothing of the situation.... but one thing I WILL say is a TRUE friend WILL tell it to you straight. THAT is the sign of a true friend. The shit friends are those who agree with whatever you say for the sake of ease... who wait for you to fall on your ass so they can be 'great friends' by building you up when you crash and burn. A TRUE friend will try to avert the crashing and burning in the first place and risk your wrath (just like I was with my friends who I discovered just wanted me to tell them they were right all the time... they are no longer friends.... and, well it's their loss, none of their friends care as mush as I did, I bloody guarantee it).... and unless you have your head up your ass like they did KHAN (or neighbourlady.. whichever or both who you are) you'll realise that and know GA is a top bloke....
