Haiku is a counted syllable form.
Three lines of five, seven and five syllables respectively.

The smell of coffee
Tantalizes my senses
I need caffeine now!

There is no particular theme involved here.
It's just for fun.
Try one... or several?

Winter's frosted words
Across the distant landscape
Are spoken by crows.

This is my Haiku
This is seven syllables
Isn't that too good?!

Alarm clock buzzing
Grey light and traffic humming
The day has begun

I check all my threads
Respond to a few with joy
Isn't Woman fickle?

A scoundrel at heart?
Typecast by heaven it seems!
Spread hands say "Who me?"

Cruel Muse it doth seem
Milady seeks captive audience?
Wonder at motive! ;)

Tied to comfy bed
Scoundrel catches up on sleep
Perhaps not the point?

No artful deceits
Have won me from Lady's bed
Hard work settles all?

Universal truth here
The tighter your grip Milady
More slips from the grasp

Scoundrel hearts wriggle
And their bodies follow soon
What chains can bind either?

Keep the thing milady
Scoundrels need no heart in truth
A ready smile warms flesh
