Below the belt

Jews have a long memory.
So do Palestinians and Lebanese.
You, on the other hand seemed unaware.
The first time Palestine was conquered was by the Arabs in 650 CE. Sez you.
Unaware or unwilling to face that Jews are just as ruthless and greedy when it comes to acquisition.
Slaughtering women and children in the name of God. Unprovoked.
Israel pissed in the wind. Reap the whirlwind.

There is no moral high ground here. Just an endless cycle of murder. Ad nauseam.
I think you may actually be a Golem.

There has never been a Palestinian state. The name “Palestine” was used by the Romans and later by the British to erase the name Judea.

Lebanon was formed from the French mandate with the intention of creating a Christian enclave in the Levant to protect the Lebanese from being dominated by the Arabs. Islamist radicals like Hezbollah have hollowed out Lebanon from within to turn it into another satellite of Iran.

The Muslims and the Christians are the holy warriors, not the Jews.

Not only do the Jews not conquer in the name of their religion they actively discourage non-Jews from converting.

The Arabs first conquered Palestine in 650 CE, thousands of years after the Torah was written.

The two areas I refer to are the ones currently being pounded.
The earlier Israeli aggression was done at the command of their God. He promised them a homeland,
Please read the Books of
Exodus
Leviticus
Numbers
Deuteronomy
Joshua

They left Egypt and murdered their way north. When they crossed the Jordan River,
they shifted to overdrive.

The Jews never built an empire. Even in the ancient world the combined kingdoms of Israel and Judea were only about the size of modern Israel—minuscule compared to the empires of Persia, Rome, Carthage, Egypt, or Alexander the Great.

This story you’re trying to spin about the Jews being holy warriors invading and subjugating everyone around them is not supported either the historical or archeological record. It’s a lie.

When you dispute the historical record of the Bible, I say, “Meet me at the Pearly Gates.”
You’ll be on the no-fly list.

I’m a Jew. I don’t believe in the afterlife. The Christian obsession with life after death is creepy. You’re here now. Do what you can to make this world a better place. Stop polishing your coffin.

Funny thing about that. The Pharisees did believe in a morally relevant afterlife -- they placed a lot of importance on that, and it definitely influenced Jesus' thinking. And after the Romans destroyed the Temple, rendering the priests and Sadducees irrelevant, religious leadership passed to the Pharisees -- that is, the rabbis. It was they who compiled the Talmud. But somehow, at some point, they dropped the whole afterlife thing. I wonder how that happened?

I’m spinning no story. I only recount what is in the Old Testament. Why the need for such an elaborate hoax?
Around 325 CE scholars convened the council of Nicaea.

Among other things, determination was made what belonged in the Bible. Why include lies?
You’re in the position of trying to prove a negative.
The Bible clearly describes the destruction. You’re right in one regard. There was nothing holy about it.
It was naked aggression.

Do you not observe Pesach? What kind of Jew are you?
It may be time to rethink your premise of what’s true and what’s not.

As far as life after death, I have no idea what comes next. I do believe there is a spark that gives me life;
an energy that can neither be created nor destroyed. When my time is up, it will go somewhere.
Whether consciousness is attached is fuel for another debate.
I’m not polishing my coffin, ese.
You need to stop trying to polish a turd.

Fox Liive Now reported that the US will supply a new anti-missile defense system to Israel
along with troops to operate it in an effort to discourage further action from Iran.
GI Joe will get to sexy dance with IDF Chiquitas. I’m jealous.
Are you opposed to Israel defending itself from missile attacks? Without Iron Dome Israeli casualties over the past year would have been horrendous.

The Torah is mostly silent on the existence of an afterlife. Modern Jewish thought is that it’s up to the individual. If you find it comforting to think about life after death, there’s nothing in the Torah to say that you’re wrong. But there’s also no concept of salvation like there is Christianity.

The Christians and the Muslims being so obsessed with death definitely had an effect on rabbinical thinking over the last few millennia. When Jesus was alive, speculating about an afterlife was a fun philosophical argument, and rabbis are always down for fun philosophical arguments. But now we have ample evidence of the toxic effects of widespread belief in heaven and hell.

The road to bad intentions is paved with a belief in heaven.

Israel has every right to defend itself against any and all attacks. The US is their ally.
I’m cautiously Ok with our troops giving support until IDF forces come up to speed on the new system.

Netanyahu has given warning to UN troops to leave Lebanon. Another step in a positive direction.

UNIFIL was supposed to prevent Hezbollah from building up in southern Lebanon and attacking Israel.

Since they failed in the only mission they’ve had for 18 years, it’s better if they leave and let Israel do the job for them.

Yes, Israel has the right to defend itself—with our weapons that I’m helping pay for. I guess the Iron Dome sucks enough that they had to send in the THAAD system to back it up. How many billions did that cost me/us?

I wonder if we’ll see any dead US servicemen from IDF weapons as they are mistaken for Hezbollah? The IDF apparently has a track record for mistakenly killing the wrong targets. If and when that happens (hopefully it won’t), you might see a shift in US involvement in the region.

Netanyahu doesn’t control the UN or Lebanon—for now—so he can pound sand.

US troop involvement has me nervous as well.
Worse than friendly fire would be deaths at the hands of Hamas, Hezbollah or Iran.
We don’t need any blood in our eyes.
I thought Israel was paying for this hardware.
Is there no limit to our generosity?

A Hezbollah terror tunnel was found about 100 feet from a UNIFIL outpost.

🤬

UNIFIL merely provided camouflage / cover for Hezbollah’s terroristic activities.

🤬

It appears that everything UN related in the region has been compromised by the terrorists.

🤬

The UN should pull out of the region and regroup under new leadership with a new mandate / mission.

What has been happening under the current UN mandate / mission has NOT been working.

🤬

Live Now has reported that the US has cautioned Israel to provide more humanitarian aid to Gaza or
risk loss of military aid.
No word on Big Benny’s reaction so far. He’s busy cooking up a response to Iran’s latest missile attack.

The latest anti-missile defense system is designed to counteract missiles that can reach hypersonic velocity.
It is supposed to intercept incoming ballistic projectiles at perigee, a very small window.
The kinetic energy alone can be devastating.
Israel has my thoughts and prayers, despite the toxicity of my faith.
