"Told"? Isn't "propositioned" the more accurate term?
Not to impugn your honor or anything.
Being propositioned has nothing to do with my honor.....the answer to the proposition does. ;)

o ok good

i didnt want to get excited in class

that could be odd
You're in class??? lol Not the thing to be telling a teacher. Then again...I am playing hooky today. *giggles*

Hmmm. Sagely answer.
Only makes me wonder how wittily you could answer the proposition itself.

Depends on the situation and my mood at the time. ;)

I had gleaned as much from your posts, but never really knew for sure until just now. What do you teach? (or is that getting too personal? I ask mostly as a curious co-professional.)

you play hookie and then
play on lit all day

i want your job
No you don't....lol

I'm playing hooky because one of my unruly students decided to have a bad day. I ended up fracturing my pelvic bone. The Dr. wanted me off 4 weeks but I declined. I opted for yesterday and today.

I teach students with special needs. This year my day is divided between students who are Deaf/Hearing Impaired and students with emotional/behavioral disorders. And you?

I teach English composition, to students whose greatest deficiency is that they bull-shat their way through high school and are only just now figuring out they can't do it forever. My job's nine kinds of cushy by comparison; and you're some kinda super-concentrated mixture of brains, beauty, and balls to be jumping back into that situation so quickly. You've got my admiration in more ways than one.

I always thought I would've liked to teach English Lit....just went in a different direction I suppose. I love my job now and most of the time its not that big of a deal. It's just those rare days when the planets line up unfavorably for my students that these kinds of things happen. Thank you for the description of me...I've never been spoken of quite like that. I like it. I may have to include that in my sig line for a bit. ;)

so your kids dont get on lit in class.

im sorry
Oh no. I'd like to think my kids don't even know what Lit is. Please let me live in my fantasy world. It's quite nice here. lol ;)

At the very minimum, I've been in the teaching game long enough to know that being spoken of well, by anybody, is rare. The least I can do is spread some love around, especially to those who I know have to work a lot harder at it than I do.

And, y'know, you're pretty and funny and stuff, and thus doubly worthy of praise. :D

lol Well thank you very much. *curtsies*

I'm not sure I have to work hard at anything, though. I'm just me. What you see is what you get. Either people like it or they don't. ;)

Oh, I just meant you have to work harder than me.
I'm in class a few hours of the week. The rest of the time: porn, comic books, and Minesweeper.

Ohh, my apologies. Ignore the soapbox episode from the previous post.

Regardless of hours spent in the classroom, I have no doubts your job is as equally as demanding as mine. You have to work with people that have already made up their minds about EVERYTHING and nothing you say will change that....usually. lol

I find that screaming, profanity, and a baseball bat serve as fine vehicles for their enlightenment. (I do teach some kinda awesome stuff, though, so I'll allow the back-patting there.)

*sighs wistfully* I do so miss the days when baseball bats were allowed in public schools. :p Half the battle is keeping them interested. Some kinda awesome stuff sounds like it would do the trick. *pats your back, smiling* :D

In truth, though, I save most of my violence for my language and demeanor.

Anyway, enough with work. How've you spent your hooky-time? Ever figure lunch out? (And no, I don't ask an excuse for more bawdy puns.)

I have spent my hooky-time doing absolutely nothing. I've straightened up the apartment just a bit, but other than that, my recliner and I have become close friends. I must say, though, that the injury feels much better today. I think I may be on the mend. Finally. :) As for lunch...it was popcorn.

Popcorn? That only accounts for... let me do the math... ZERO of the necessary food groups. Are there no consenting fruits or meats nearby?

*gives you a sticker for your excellent math work*

I do eat my daily allowance of fruits and veggies....that's what I prefer. I was just in the mood for popcorn. ;) As for meat....I can take it or leave it. *get your mind out of the gutter....I'm not talking about THAT* :p ;)

Who said you were, darlin? Certainly not me. Why doth thou protest so much? Guilty conscience? Hmmmm?

Well I must confess....I do tend to keep my thoughts in the gutter most days. It's just not worth the crawl out. :D *I do only share said thoughts with people I'm close to, though* lol
